Disappointing headline. Thought it was a new puppy.
Is that how the first meeting of the prospective adoptive Baby can go in real life? No gloves or masks? Maybe that was just during the pandemic. That couple seem ready to open their hearts and their lives to this child. I hope it went well.
Some couples may be healthy, but simply do not produce when together. I think adoption or fostering is a good second choice to natural reproduction. That way, the entire marriage is not wrapped around the wife’s increasingly desperate attempts to get pregnant. Choose an option available to you now, then move on.

Prospective adopting parents need to talk to parents of 30 year old adoptees.
It can be a very tough walk.
