Mika Brzezinski began today's Morning Joe with an apparent expression of discontent about the show having been yanked off the air yesterday, pointedly saying "It is VERY good to be here."
That apparent discontent become absolutely explicit an hour later in the show. Joe Scarborough in effect accused the NBC News suits of having lied to them in saying that they'd been taken off the air because there'd be one unified feed across all their networks yesterday. That didn't turn out to be so.
Scarborough ended with what sounded like a threat to quit, saying:
"Next time we're told there's going to be a news feed replacing us, we will be in our chairs. And the news feed will be us, or THEY CAN GET SOMEBODY ELSE TO HOST THE SHOW."

Don’t let the door hit ya on the way out, Scarborough!

I’m trying but I just can’t seem to muster any tears.
Mika’S wife seems angry.
Well, bye!
Did their two viewers even realize they were taken off the air?
silver linings in abundance
May God — or some HR functionary — grant his request soon.
They were humiliated because NBC did not trust them not to make embarrassing remarks that the suits would have to try to paper over.
Which Joe gets dumped first? Sleepy or Schmoe?
Is that a promise to quit?
Exactly!
And when they were let back on the air today, within minutes a panelist did just that, passing along a rumor that the shooter’s motivation was that Trump wasn’t “conservative enough.”
Your terms are acceptable.
Take a bucket and fill it with water;
Put your hand in it up to the wrist.
Pull it out, and the hole that is remaining
Is the measure of how you’ll be missed.
You may splash all you please when you enter;
You can stir up the water galore;
But stop, and you’ll find in a minute,
That it looks quite the same as before.
On, off, who knew?
That would leave Brandon with nothing to watch between 6 and 10 AM.
remember when Jimmy Connors used to smash his tennis racquet? it was a great attention-getter.
LMAO
It’s always a good plan to publicly criticize your employer. /s
