Well remember, Biden was exhausted from preparing too much for that debate. Jim Clyburn said that the Biden was just over prepared had worked too hard to get ready for that debate.

It was all the lighting.

Cast vibrant Joey as a sick, old man, don’t you know.

Anyone with older relatives even experiencing mild dementia would recognize the signs and know Biden is mentally not up to being POTUS. If your parent or grandparent were showing these signs it would be time to take the keys to their car

If you give a person Adderall the side effect is hoarseness.

Joe was pretty hoarse. They claimed he was sick. The next day he was at a rally, no hoarseness. If he were sick with a hoarse voice it would not be so quickly better the next day. I think they gave him Adderall at that late hour (late for Joe) to have the energy for the debate. Didn’t they tell us his working hours were 10 to 4 or something? The debate was June 27 beginning at 9 p.m. EDT.

But he was still blanking out, those stares. IMHO he has dementia.

We.Beat.Medicare.

Certainly that is sufficient to bounce this demented fool, sheesh. Dems and the media pretending this was a cold need to knock off the crap.

Has anyone TRIED to explain what he meant by the Medicare remark? OR who came out of the WOODS in Charlottesville, VA?

“We finally beat Medicare”

That one got me. I really cannot tell what he was even trying to convey with that one. I can usually tell something about what he was trying to spit out; at least the broad subject matter. Not this time.

A few seconds before he uttered the beat Medicare remark one could see his discombobulated stuttering brain misfire. Plus he didn’t even correct his disastrous remark but said it like he believed it. That was his kill shot of the night among many.

This is just silly. The split second reaction time required for debates obviously deteriorates with age. Political office requires slow burn rumination, not split second reaction times. If debate performance determined political viability, we’d be governed by twenty somethings.

Debates are a contest between rival sophists. In TV debates, though, affect seems like a much bigger deal than what’s actually said. JFK came off better than Nixon because Nixon shunned makeup, came off looking sweaty and unshaven compared to Kennedy’s matinee idol cool. Radio listeners thought Nixon did better, but by the 60s TV watchers formed the overwhelming majority of the debate audience. Thanks to his underwhelming affect on TV, Nixon went from anointed heir to Eisenhower’s era of peace, strength and prosperity to also-ran.

But we’re no longer in the 1960s, when TV debates were a novel phenomenon. TV audiences are jaded, such that a debate may be just a debate, without much effect on voter intent. Would the typical Trump voter have changed his mind if Trump’s performance had been abysmal?

The upshot of 6/28 is Biden’s affect was abysmal. A veteran debater had an off day. But all the policy reasons voters had for voting one way or the other remain. Is Trump less detestable for those who hate his guts? Is Biden less likeable to his fans? If anything, Biden gets the sympathy vote. For his fans, a lion in winter, but nonetheless a lion. If post debate polls are any indicator, the effect on Biden’s numbers were minimal, with a downtick of a point or two.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-biden

Democrat contenders and consultants not in Biden’s inner circle aren’t worried about the Democrat party’s future. They saw a chink in his armor and were hoping to drive a truck thru it for personal gain. Openings for presidential nominations, and fresh slots on their entourages, don’t grow on trees.

But so far, nothing has changed. Every one of them polls worse than Biden. He’s a conniving bastard, but generally regarded as a nice guy.

A recent post included an MD’s opinion based on observing Biden, but we all can do that and we all can read and see for ourselves.

“Slowed movement, known as bradykinesia. Over time, Parkinson’s disease may slow your movement, making simple tasks difficult and time-consuming. Your steps may become shorter when you walk. It may be difficult to get out of a chair. You may drag or shuffle your feet as you try to walk.

Rigid muscles. Muscle stiffness may occur in any part of your body. The stiff muscles can be painful and limit your range of motion.
Impaired posture and balance. Your posture may become stooped. Or you may fall or have balance problems as a result of Parkinson’s disease.

Loss of automatic movements. You may have a decreased ability to perform unconscious movements, including blinking, smiling or swinging your arms when you walk.

Speech changes. You may speak softly or quickly, slur, or hesitate before talking. Your speech may be more of a monotone rather than have the usual speech patterns.”

As far as we are able to see, he doesn’t show the characteristic tremor. But every one of the above symptoms is clearly visible to anyone.

If it was our family member, we’d be concerned and seeking medical advice. WHich of course DrJill has done, but has concealed from the public and lied about.

Biden’s verbal gaffe was bad enough, but then a lightning quick Trump pounced on it and used it to eviscerate ol’ Joe. The contrast between the two couldn’t have been clearer.

From the article: “When Biden said that Trump had “the morals of an alley cat” I would have responded “An alley cat? Your own daughter said you molested her. Care to address that?” I think Biden would have melted down on the spot.”

I think a better response would have been: “Are you still taking showers with your daughter”?

Yeah he did beat Medicare ... to death. Medicare Advantage plans are going to be reduced or eliminated in some areas and every one will pay more for less.

Medicare Advantage plans replace Medicare with added coverage.
