If recent history is an indication, the Democrats will replace Biden with whoever they want and the Republicans will accept it.
Personally, I think the Republicans should oppose everything the Democrats do just out of principle.
Well, keep in mind Trump isn’t typical GOP. We’ll see what happens. This process of ‘replacing Joe’ if it comes to pass has to be an issue.

The problem for the Democrats is that even a good candidate — which they do not have — would not be able to put together a solid campaign, become fully conversant with the issues, and develop a rapport with the public. Moreover, the fundamentals of economic performance and other issues are against the Democrats. At best, the Democrats are looking for someone who can prevent a catastrophic loss to Trump and the GOP at every level.
If needed, they can arrange elimination.

What the Demonrats can’t get around are Federal election finance laws. What Pedo Joe and Hairass have collected can only be used on Their campaign. If Pedo Joe drops out the nominee almost has to be Hairass to use that money.

The closest Democratic person who would be a good candidate is governor Wes Moore of Maryland. He’s young, black, and he has a very likable personality, despite his far leftist ideology. I’m curious as to what Donald Trump would use against Wes Moore, if he ends up as the official replacement of Joe Biden. It would be too easy, for the left/anti-Trump R’s to, continuously, attack Trump as being racist and mean against Wes Moore.
He won’t be sent immediately to prison he’ll be out while his appeal process continues throwing him immediately in prison will get his appeal expedited to the federal courts where he’ll win going away as Friday ruling of the Supreme Court all but slapped down what Alvin Bragg did.
