Citing sources, CBS News told their audience to “expect some surprises” on Biden’s “physical performance” at next week’s presidential debate.
President Trump and Joe Biden will face off in the first presidential debate next Thursday. The debate will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta.
The microphones will be muted except when it is the candidate’s ‘turn’ to speak.
Campaign staff may not interact with the candidates during breaks and no props are allowed.
“I’m told that we should expect some surprises as well because this is such a critical performance for Biden. Not only on the content but his physical performance,” CBS News said.

I think the sweet spot is extremely hard to hit when it comes to juicing. Especially over an hour and a half. I expect an angry man, Get Off My Lawn vibe at the beginning, but at the end, he will be ready for pajamas. Of course, the media will run only clips from the first half hour.

Trump’s numbers are through the roof and Biden’s can’t possibly get any lower.

I don’t know what Trump’s strategy is to agree to a debate with terms that heavily favor Biden. CNN isn’t friendly to Donald Trump. CNN will give easy questions to Biden so that Biden doesn’t have to be drugged to answer them. The microphones will be muted for the presidential candidate who isn’t answering the question. This means Trump will have less chances to correct the moderator or Biden. I’m guessing Trump’s strategy to give his talking points when answering a question even if the talking points doesn’t relate to the questions.
My guess is they are brining in a ringer, but really Joe Biden is just a figurehead anyway.
