Sen. Tim Scott appears determined to take himself out of the running to be Donald Trump’s vice-presidential pick.
In an interview on CNN’s State of the Union with host Jon Karl, Scott said he stood by his decision to certify the 2020 presidential election, despite widespread evidence of voter fraud that tipped the election in Biden’s favor.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
JON KARL: OK. Senator, the day before that violent mob attacked the Capitol, you put out a statement explaining your decision to certify Joe Biden’s election victory.
Do you stand by that? You were not one of those that challenged the results. You voted to certify Biden’s election victory. Do you stand by that?
SCOTT: Certainly. I will stand by that decision
...... Snip.......
KARL: All right, and very quickly, we’re just about out of time, but you had said that Mike Pence absolutely did the right thing when he defied Donald Trump’s demand to — to not certify that election. Do you still stand by that, that Pence absolutely did the right thing on January 6th?
SCOTT: The Constitution is clear. What we’re trying to focus on is how do we make sure we get four more years where the American people, particularly kids like me, growing up in poverty, have the best future we could possibly have.

Scott had plenty of time to anticipate and prepare for such questions. As you so aptly demonstrated, it would have been quite easy for him to give a statesman like deflection to this gotcha ambush.
Scott is such a babbling fool.
Did’t the boss remind you this was Trump country here a few days ago?
You did your “Eddie Haskell” impression for him and now you are back helping out Joe Biden.
And therein lies the problem. You haven't bothered to look at the evidence. There is a *LOT* of evidence of corrupt elections in the swing states.
75,000 fake votes in Maricopa county Arizona. 200,000 fake registered voters in that same county.
Military overseas ballots for Maricopa county going for Biden at 95%.
Similar problems in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada.
But you haven't bothered to keep up with what has been discovered, and yet you still speak out without the knowledge you need to speak sensibly.
I support Trump in his re-election, just as Tim Scott does. However supporting Trump for re-election does not, or should not, mean you that you must give up your conservative principles, when they are at odds.
Seemingly everything pointing toward that conclusion—consilience.
I’ve followed it as closely as pretty much anyone, including providing play by play in FR threads covering the various trials that were going on. I wanted (and still want) the Democrats to be nailed to the wall as much as anyone. And, yes, it is obvious that some foul play was going on. But to nail someone on the wall, you have to deliver the goods under oath, in court, and very little of that has ever been done.
Where is this proof in Arizona you are talking about documented? It’s easy to throw numbers around, but how many of the “200,000 fake registered voters” have actually been named, and where is the list of fake names?
Even if Pence had (for example, as a political decision after collecting insufficient contrary information due to blue state stonewalling, Soros-AG corruption, and SOROS state SOS investigational competence) eventually accepted Biden-electing election results, the precedent would have been set to place corrupt states and the bad actors who populate them under a microscope for federal Electoral College purposes.
Over time and multiple election cycles, this would likely have the effect of wiping them clean. Like with a cloth.
If I go to the trouble of finding this information for you, will you change your opinion on the matter?
The 75,000 (really 74,000 and some change) came from the Cyber Ninja audit of Maricopa county. So too did the 95% for Joe Biden overseas ballots.
I don't recall if the 200,000 came from the cyber ninjas, or another party, but I do recall reading it and regarding it as a credible source at the time.
There are certain freepers that keep up with this evidence, but I am not one of them. I used to keep links for the various issues that I discuss, but it became unwieldy and so I stopped doing it.
Dr Franklin comes to mind as someone who might be able to put his finger precisely on the source of these three items. If not, I can find them again I think.
Tim Scott is a sycophant of Mitch McConnell and supported Lisa Murkowski. Please.
You are a severe conservative in the Mutt Romney vein. You hide behind it in order to have an excuse you think is believable and sufficient to undermine the chosen candidate who soundly won the primaries.
That is one of the good outcomes that we could have had by Pence doing his duty.
Another would be to put a taint on the legitimacy of the Biden administration, and thereby keep people talking about his corruption and the rigged election that put him there.
Having the public view Biden as illegitimate would have improved the political dynamics of holding everyone accountable that put him there.
The world would have been a better place if the entire public viewed Biden as illegitimate.
Pence lent him a veneer of legitimacy.
My opinion is that Arizona was likely stolen. But the attempts trying to prove that have been very sloppy, and whatever information that supposedly proves is still hidden somewhere, if it even exists. See, even you can't produce the 200,000 names you insisted were "fake voters."
Arizona alone didn't tip the election, either. It took several states. There were some obvious shenanigans going on in those states too. But nothing that has happened even after all these years has proven anything convincingly. No one really even tried. It's been all about building a PR campaign on social media to convince people it happened, verses actually proving it happened.
And as I keep saying, without hard evidence that can stand up cross-examination in court, our bedrock principles are, innocent until proven guilty, and you have to follow the Constitution, which was for the Congress to certify the electors sent by the States. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it. I just put our highest principles and ethics above emotion. And whining is for losers, at least where I come from. You try to prevent it from happening again, but that takes actual work, starting with proving what went wrong last time, which is still mostly abstract.
“...shenanigans...”
By definition: Small scale, uncoordinated,inconsequential.
Why use the chosen vocabulary of the election fraud professionals? 🤔🤨
Because people need to wake up that not much has changed since 2020. Did anything really change in 2022, especially in Arizona? Why would it be any different now? Were any large scale illegal voting mobsters actually exposed? Did ANYONE (person, or persons) get brought up on charges, much less go to jail? No, actually the exact opposite has been happening, such as the Atlanta poll workers who successfully sued Giuliani for accusing them of fraud.
Sure, people can show all the emotion they want, and claim this that or the other happened, but that’s not going to change anything where it counts, in the courts. Hopefully it will be different this time, but if you TRULY believe 2020 was stolen, then you should be horrified in preparation for it to happen again, since nothing has really been done about it since then. We’re being told to “outvote the cheating” as if that’s how things should actually be playing out, when that’s nothing but hope-ism at best, and capitulation at worst.
If this is to be corrected, it will have to be corrected within the framework of our laws and Constitution, which will be enforced by both sides in the end. People can piss and moan about that as well, but they should be thankful we have the current system we have, because if something ever takes it away, whatever replaces it will be absolutely horrible in comparison.
Instead of putting a line under his name, we now have to put a line through his name.
You’re going to have to produce a lot more evidence than has been produced so far, before most people are going to go to the battlefield over it. I think most people believe we are being literally PUSHED into a civil war, as a means to destroy America and its principles, verses a war being needed to protect them.
Didn't say I couldn't produce them. Asked if it was worth the bother for me to go find that information.
I argue with a lot of people and I have previously gone to a lot of trouble to find the information people claim they want, all to have them dismiss it and refuse to change their opinion anyway.
Arizona alone didn't tip the election, either. It took several states. There were some obvious shenanigans going on in those states too. But nothing that has happened even after all these years has proven anything convincingly.
Disagree. The evidence i've seen easily convinces me that fraud was the primary source of Biden's "win."
2000 mules even demonstrates it, along with a lot of other information.
No one really even tried. It's been all about building a PR campaign on social media to convince people it happened, verses actually proving it happened.
I am not even aware of a social media campaign. All i've ever seen is article after article detailing how the fraud was committed. There is even a website called "hereistheevidence.com."
And as I keep saying, without hard evidence that can stand up cross-examination in court...
I have a low opinion of "courts." Our courts are dysfunctional and do not need evidence, and won't even look at it unless it suits them. Trump's hush money fake trial comes to mind.
Courts operate according to the whim of the judge. There is no way to force a court to look at something it refuses to see.
No. Nobody did anything to stop the election fraud.
In testimony to the Arizona Senate, one witness claimed that every important officeholder in Arizona has been co-opted by the Mexican drug cartels. With the behavior i've seen, I find this claim somewhat credible.
Did ANYONE (person, or persons) get brought up on charges, much less go to jail?
Like Eric Holder with his contempt of congress charges? NO JAIL TIME!
Steve Bannon? Not so lucky. Peter Navarro? Not so lucky.
Except it isn't "luck." It's corruption by the courts and prosecutors refusing to apply the same standards. Same thing with the January 6rs versus the BLM Antifas who did much worse.
I point out that Merick Garland will also not see jail time for "Contempt of Congress" because he is a Democrat.
Possibly riots that would have been a whole lot worse than what actually happened. Congress could have voted to send the electoral votes back to the states, but Pence didn't have the authority to do it himself. If he tried, the left might actually have hanged him (small exaggeration, but they are more likely to things like that than MAGA is).
It demonstrates that there was likely some voter harvesting going on. But guess what, harvesting is/was legal in most states. Trump himself signed bills that provided federal funding to help with remote voting, supposedly due to covid. So were we cheated, or outsmarted?
There is even a website called "hereistheevidence.com"... I have a low opinion of "courts."
Ok, well feel free to keep putting together little documentaries, and websites, and ignore the courts all you want. And we'll be right where we are, nowhere, when it comes to actually proving fraud exists to the point any election will ever be overturned. To overturn an election, you'll have to go to court. And our courts are the right way for disputes to resolved, they even tamed the Wild West, which we do not want to go back to.
