New York Jury Reaches Verdict on Trump’s NY Lawfare Trial—- GUILTY VERDICTS – 1-5, 13, 14, 19, 20, 24, 26, 30, 31, 34, — EACH COUNT COULD HAVE 4 YEARS IN PRISON!

The the jury was given the liberty to select from three main options, effectively turning the process into a choose-your-own-adventure game of legal implications.

Violations of federal election law (which no one in that courtroom is familiar with, and the judge specifically prevents Brad Smith from testifying about); The falsification of business records; and Tax violations

Your post and tagline are both spot on.

The thought that comes to mind is this is all part of God’s judgment. As a nation, we have strayed so far from the God Who has brought such blessing to this country. Prosperity, abundance, ingenuity…the list goes on. But we have taken these for granted, have neglected to be faithful watchmen on the wall as greed, carnality, deceit, debauched living and outright godlessness have pervaded the land. These unchecked offenses against a holy God are bringing down God’s judgment on the land.

His wrath is stored up for the sinner, but the saint is not immune to the reality and consequences of His judgment coming upon a corrupt land.

"Well done, mass55th! Love the poetry you've given us at the ideal time."

Thanks poconopundit!! It was really weird, that right after I saw the thread reporting the verdict, I opened the book "The Bunker," which is about the last days in Hitler's Fuherbunker, and the breakout of those who left the bunker after Hitler's death. That quote was at the beginning of the chapter I was going to read next. It was so appropriate to the circumstances, I couldn't help but offer it up.

And thank you for your wonderful excerpt from Emerson.

Remember, they blatantly stole a national election in 2020. This is peanuts compared to that. Worse is coming.

While I agree with you on this, I believe one of the buffet items that the jury could have convicted on was federal election law — given the jury instructions, one can assume that since we are making the rules up as we go along (Biden et al) that he could go ahead and pardon anyway.

But i also agree with you if a state crime, Trump should just get on his plane to night and never visit NY State again.

I have followed one other FR thread with over 500 comments and still haven’t found out what the other crime was. Which one/ones of the underlying crimes did the jury say he committed?

The other crime was never specified, as the law is open-ended. The judge accepted the DAs argument that he did not have to specify, and the DA only made any claim at all during closing arguments after the defense could no longer speak. By the Constitution it has to be specified before the trial.

SCOTUS bats clean-up at the bottom of the inning.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith on SCOTUS. The fact that this trial even happened is a direct result of the court completely ignoring the massive election irregularities during the 2020 election. That is even in the face of direct violations of previous rulings by the court that say you can't change the rules of the game in the middle of an election. The court allowed the fraud to persist by refusing to force any court to hear the issues of any case before them on the merits of the facts.

Screw the courts. we're just a really large and rapidly collapsing banana republic at this point.

No procedure exists to take it from any other State Court.

Mark Levin describes a possible procedure that does just that:

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2024/05/31/heres-what-mark-levin-thinks-trump-should-do-next-n2639785

You're thinking like Trump's lawyers: "we'll follow this procedure, file this motion, argue this fine point of law, wait for a ruling, file an appeal, sit back and wait to see if it's taken up..."

Meanwhile they are getting steamrolled by 'rats.

The rats are playing nuclear war, while we're playing checkers, and we're getting clobbered!

Stop being the stupid party.
