Question: How do you take the greatest scorer in college history, men or women, and destroy her confidence and career in seven games or less? And how do you also manage to bring down an entire professional sports league at the same time?
Answer: Ask Christie Sides.
Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides has never had a winning record and finished dead last year in the WNBA. Now, her goal is to not only bring down Caitlin Clark and her team – that’s not enough. Christie Sides is going to single-handedly destroy the WNBA’s one chance to become a profitable sports league. And it only took seven games.

He could make those cuts.
“ Question: How do you take the greatest scorer in college history, men or women, and destroy her confidence and career in seven games or less? And how do you also manage to bring down an entire professional sports league at the same time?”
Nonsensical heavy breathing hysteria.
“Away from the idiots on BOTH sides people love Clark and love the attention and money she’s bringing into the sport and want her to succeed. The narrative you see on FR is really only on FR. Even the black lesbians that don’t like her enjoy playing in front of an actual crowd and are smart enough to keep their mouths shut. You could learn from them.”
Yes, well said.
The internet allows any ill founded, 2 am drunken narrative to be posted as fact.
Clark has brought a lot of money to everyone .
Only someone very foolish would want her gone. Play hard against her, well heck yes. That’s competing .
She’s the WNBA’s version Larry Bird.
= = =
But the rest of Bird’s team was awake, and there to recieve passes and work plays, when Bird was concentrated on, leaving them open.
Her team ain’t doing that. I think she passes to them, and they miss it, being unaware.
Yeah anybody that doesn’t get a little extra “up” when playing against the most popular player in the league, or the declared best player in the game, isn’t earning their paycheck.
It is funny how everybody gets addicted to their pet narrative. But that’s life I guess.
Women are different. They're jealous of CC.
In college, if anyone gets out of line, the coach will bench the player(s) right away. Hard to do that in the WNBA.
Just a casual observation. I haven't watched an actual WNBA game so maybe I'm wrong (not that I care).
Obviously, the fans in the U.S. do not like it that all the WNBA players are lesbians.
The NBA had a huge PR problem in the early '80s until Bird, Magic and Jordan came to the league.
LOL!!!
You seem to be awfully touchy about defending WNBA’s agenda of racist black supremacy and LGBTQ+ homosexual perverts.
Are you coming out of the closet now?
Not defending anybody’s agenda. Pointing out that YOUR agenda is a bunch of BS. Out here in reality she’s getting tons of positive coverage. You should check out reality one of these days, it’s not a bad place.
No idea who Jim Hoft is, but what man wants to write about the WNBA? Maybe his daughter plays in the league. Just seems an odd subject to whip up drama about.
She’s probably not over her ankle injury.
IMHO Clark should have gone straight into coaching College Basketball and controlled her own destiny. She has made enough money to do whatever she wants and does not need this nonsense.
That part, if they want to own the league, more power to them. I don't think anyone cares.
CC should not play in the WNBA, instead she should be on the Olympic team. Make endorsement money. Then coach college basketball.
To me it’s pretty simple business analytics. If I were the Owner/GM of the Indiana Fever I would ask Coach Sides a simple question: “Did 17,000 people pay money and sell out my arena last night to watch you play Coach or did they come to watch Caitlin Clark play basketball?”
“It is funny how everybody gets addicted to their pet narrative. ”
There is much less free thinking in my opinion. The internet gets people in these us against them camps.
And there is a place for black and white thinking as some things are truly wrong .
Well the coach, owner and GM also need to consider other numbers. Remember Clark played a full NCAA season already, plus getting to the championship in the tournament. Then she had like 2 weeks off before the WNBA preseason started. Now she’s on hook for a 40 game season of longer games. And probably going to the Olympics in July. There’s a good chance she’s going to play what her body considers to be 3 full seasons in the course of 10 months. Nobody wants her to have a Zion Williamson type career. I mean he’s still doing well, when he plays, but he doesn’t get to play nearly as much as was hoped. And she did tweak her ankle last week.
Sometimes a team has to make a business decision. The smart money is to limit her time this season, limit her wear and tear, and get her through to some well deserved rest come fall. It’s great to get full houses this year. But they want full houses for multiple years.
I’m starting to get pumped for the Mavs. Luka is on fire! One game away from The Finals.
The Mavs now have that. Luka and Irving have figured out how to complement each other, and they got some key acquisitions to help with their defense.
I still think it will be the Celtics title to lose, but I think the Mavs have a shot.
If the Iowa team of two months played in this league they would win 75% of their games. The know how to get the most out of Clark.
So, fit, strong, quick and capable are only masculine traits? OK...
