As RedState reported, former President Donald Trump went to the Libertarian National Convention to extend a hand and reach out for their vote.
There were some folks in the crowd who were not happy with him being there. He got a mixed reaction, including boos from folks who, it seemed, were angry that he was invited at all. But he also received some cheers during the speech and there were supporters in the audience. If you think about it, it was pretty brave to go into the house of another party and ask for their vote.

Biden is afraid of crowds
The Latino barrio, the South Bronx, the Libertarian Convention...
Brass ones the size of basketballs...
But that’s how you get things done.
That’s how you succeed.
Trump is a deal-maker. He wrote a book about it.
And when of made a deal to put a Libertarian in his administration and to commute the sentence for Ross Ubrecht, he turned the Libertarian vote from 3% to 1.5%.
President Trump has been a great friend to Israel. Biden released funds to Iran, who released funds to Hamas, who attacked Israeli citizens. Do American Jews know or care?
Nixon provided massive military resupply to Israel during the Yom Kippur war. This made the continued existence of Israel possible. I doubt that Carter, Obama, or Biden would have done so. Do American Jews know or care? It seems that Nixon said something unkind in, what he thought to be, a private conversation. If he called American Jews ungrateful bastards, I wouldn’t blame him.
It’s good to do the right thing, regardless. Kudos to Nixon and Trump (Reagan too of course).
The South Bronx was much more polite to Trump than the crazy weedy LIBertarians.
And I mean no disrespect to the more sensible ones there.
They say Trump is a threat to Democracy when he’s about the only person even interested in the Democratic process. You ask for votes from friend and foe a like. Trump has decided to forgo the 270 electoral vote strategy since it’s too risky and has decided to go for the 300m vote strategy. Trump would be on the view if they’d have him. Thisbis not a bad thing. Trump is loved by those who hear from him and hated by those who hear about him. The strategy is, let as many people hear from him as possible.
That is basically what Nixon said about Martin Luther King Jr. After all the water the Republicans carried for the blacks since the Civil War, including all the work in the 60’s when LBJ was making racist comments about the blacks, to then have MLK give an endorsement to the Democrats was a slap in the face. The blacks switched to Democrats with that endorsement, and we have been living with the repercussions for the last 56 years. Nixon was p.o’d and called MLK ungrateful.
[[They say Trump is a threat to Democracy]]
The ones making such a loud squawk about ‘democracy’ (liberals/some independents) are the only ones who are the threat to the republic!
[[Trump is loved by those who hear from him and hated by those who hear about him]]
Well put- so true- those who listen, really listen, know deep down he is right-
Time for Libertarians to clear out the “peace n freedom” trolls. They should have never been let in.
Well said.
Gut the ATF and stop worrying about what people put in their bodies as long as they aren’t driving or hurting anyone and a LOT of the Libertarian party would be easily won over.
With all the bidEn carnage so far, and considering all the carnage to befall us in the next few months, I expect by Autumn there will be many a dem inclined to vote against the uniparty and for Trump.
Libertarians are always stepping on their own *****.
I heard a story that Golda Meir phoned Nixon, and said that if he didn't resupply Israel, Israel would use its nukes (i.e., give us the weapons or we start World War III).
Under that threat, I think Carter, Obama and Biden would also have resupplied Israel.
Could you rephrase?
“And when of made a deal to put a Libertarian in his administration and to commute the sentence for Ross Ubrecht, he turned the Libertarian vote from 3% to 1.5%.”
Are you saying that Trump’s outreach to the libertarian halved their support for Trump?
Going to address the convention of your opposition party is pretty awesome 😎
Have to expect some boos but most were cheering
I read that as being the total vote count in the election for the Libertarians would be 1.5%, the other 1.5% would go to Trump...
Thank you. That makes sense.
