A remake of the 1960s cult classic Barbarella is currently in the works with Sydney Sweeney set to star, and there are already a ton of exciting updates about the new movie. Based on the French comic series by artist Jean-Claude Forest, 1968's Barbarella stars Jane Fonda as the titular space traveler who is dispatched on a dangerous mission to find the evil scientist Durand Durand who has created a weapon that could destroy all humanity. Though not as famous as contemporaries like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Barbarella helped shape the face of science fiction for decades to come.

Jane Fonda was the ultimate beyond-the-edge of the hot/crazy matrix. The ideal protagonist to keep viewers eyes glued to the train wreck.
The intro was really all you needed to see! And no dvd rewind back then !!
In some threads where I have said that I don’t think AOC is attractive, I’ve been accused to disparaging her looks and attractiveness just because I don’t like her politics. Well, I don’t like her politics, but I disagree that I’m biased against her looks because of her politics. I like Jane Fonda’s politics about as well as I like AOC’s, which is to say I loathe them, but I will concede that a young Jane Fonda was quite attractive. She had it going on in a big way.

Ha, yes. I can’t remember where I put my car keys ten minutes ago. But by golly, I can remember the intro to ‘Barbarella’. It was a zero-gravity strip tease. I don’t even have to look it up. I’m sure of it.
