A remake of the 1960s cult classic Barbarella is currently in the works with Sydney Sweeney set to star, and there are already a ton of exciting updates about the new movie. Based on the French comic series by artist Jean-Claude Forest, 1968's Barbarella stars Jane Fonda as the titular space traveler who is dispatched on a dangerous mission to find the evil scientist Durand Durand who has created a weapon that could destroy all humanity. Though not as famous as contemporaries like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Barbarella helped shape the face of science fiction for decades to come.

I agree, Sydney is an attractive young lady but hardly a head turner.
But that won’t be the reason this movie flips.
This is a much more permissive society than it was back in the sixties and seeing a semi nude woman is ho-hum and not as risque as when Fonda tantalized the male audience back then
Plus there’s plenty of nude pics of her from that TV series she does.
This will be a dud.
Unless it is fun.
I don’t think Sydney Sweeney has the gravitas and subtlety of expression to pull off Barbarella.
Sydney Sweeney will be naked in the film.
There are 2 reasons the producers wanted her in the move.

Knowing her Dad, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

I will admit she’s all natural, unlike most of Hollywood today!
