David Pecker, a key witness in the Manhattan trial, testified that he agreed to execute "catch and kill" deals expressly in service of helping Trump's 2016 presidential campaign --- a plot that prosecutors have labeled a conspiracy to illegally influence the election.
In his third day [04/25/2024] of testimony, Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer tabloid, offered jurors a vivid recounting of two such arrangements: one with Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model who claimed she had a yearlong relationship with Trump, and the other with Stormy Daniels, a porn star who alleged a sexual encounter with Trump, and whose deal is at the center of the New York felony charges against him.
[NOTE: Later in testimony, David Pecker related that he refused to set up a Stormy Daniels deal.]

as well as FBI and DOJ; we watched the Hunter laptop catch and kill unfold on the debate stage in 2020.
Nope, just purchasing the rights of the story.
You are OK.
I read and then re-read the article, because I wonder, WHERE is the crime?
>> Go figure.
It’s Politico. That’s my calculus and I’m stickin’ to it.
Trump didn’t know about the catch and kill carried out by Cohn. Pecker never told Trump in another instance. Any one remember when Hillary was in charge of the “ bimbo eruption team? This is tame compared to that. Ms Arkansas felt so threatened she moved to Canada. This is nonsense,Pecker hurt Bragg and the prosecution and is supposedly the star witness. No crime. Of course as in the Carroll case facts won’t matter.
He wasn’t involved with Daniels....so why is he testifying??
This is common knowledge in the people who inhabit the celeb culture.
And the women and men in the system know that there is very good money to be made either from selling their story to the media or by being blackmailing and extorting other celebs to stay quite and not damage their reputation and media value.
Billionaires with high profile media careers have staffs of people whose job it is to deal with the grifters and extortionists who wish to make money off them.
It come with the territory. The majority of people who find themselves in proximity with a person of vast wealth is how they can make money off that brush with wealth.
The doorman story was phony...and he got paid zip. Bottom line....nothing to do with Trump...just someone looking for a book deal,payoff...15 minutes of fame. Shouldn’t be included in this trial...not one little bit.
So the prosecutors made a mistake? I agree, the defense needs to make sure that the jury has this story indelibly in their minds
Must watch Piers Morgan interview with Stormy. Lots of good for Trump.
Trump never signed the NDA so it was never legal. That’s why they left her out of it.
Stormy says at the end of the interview, “I might be a whore, but I’m an honest whore.”
Stormy still owes Trump $630,000.
I watched the version edited and with commentary on the Megan Kelly YouTube channel with Piers Morgan.
What laws has Trump broken?
BTTT
“...a man with a good record or one with 91 indictments against him...”
Is she recalling her ‘husband’s” political career?
Furthermore, I think there is a good chance Pecker will help the defense, he may have been a cooperating witness, but likely still hostile.
This is funny because Politico misrepresented Peckers testimony.
On defense questioning Pecker made it very clear that this kind of story buying was a business decision. He made money because people wanted to read about certain people and he protected those people’s brands for his own business interests. He spoke about many other people he bought stories on to keep those stories under wraps. These were purchases that he bought to protect his stockholder profit not at the request of the celebrities(Arnold Schwarzenegger was one). Pecker killed the state’s case.
The State knew nothing about the way that business is run and were caught out like the fools they are.
Sorry but I don’t believe legal analysis from POLLUTECAL.
What they do to Trump, we will do to them.
Should never have been admitted but even if withdrawn it has been heard. The point here is they are literally hearing a sex case disguised as a hush money matter.
I think what they’re charging him with amounts to conspiracy to win an election.
He testified exactly how his non prosecutorial agreement directed him to.
