New: FDNY Firefighters forced to remove “red line” flag from fire truck hung to memorialize their fallen brothers in 9/11
A politician in Alphabet City came by the fire house and confronted NY’s bravest for having the flag on their rig stating, "isn't that flag in support of the police?"
They explained to him that it’s been on their rig for years and it's a part of our 9/11 Memorial as the flag flies next to their fallen brothers
The politician contacted city officials and demanded it be taken down
The very next morning a FDNY Division Chief shows up and told them it must come down and it is an order

Seems simple enough; name the politician and send the word that the Fire Department will not respond to calls at their office nor their residence, both for fire or EMT services since EMT falls under New York City Fired Department.

A punk politician can demand anything they want. Enforcing it is another matter that can be harmful to their health. Any fire chief that would go along with this order is a disgrace and should be shunned mightily.

Between that witch hunt & this “politician’s order”, I’d say NYC is rapidly approaching the FAFO line with the FDNY rank and file.
This is the hill to die on. It requires a threat of an illegal, city-wide strike of every firefighter unless the flag is allowed and the politician and the FDNY Division chief make public apologies.
