A lot of people were upset when they first found out about Judge Scott McAfee's attempt to split the difference by ruling that Fani Willis could stay on the Fulton Country case against Trump as long as Nathan Wade was dumped as prosecutor. That was my own first reaction. However, digging into this a bit more it now appears that although McAfee chickened out, he appears to have done the Trump defense team a favor as judged by the panicked reaction by extreme Trump hater Andrew Weissmann who is now begging for Willis to LEAVE the case. His reaction is fortified by the reactions of others who see that McAfee actually delivered a yuuuuuge favor for Team Trump. Remember, the investigations of Fani Willis are from from over and she still needs to explain her meetings at the White House and contacts with Jack Smith.
Torture is illegal in America.
Does McAfee stay on the case as a lame duck judge or does he recuse himself and let another judge take over the case?

I think the choice was remove Wade or the entire prosecution team, which would presumably include Wade. ,Pretty sure who ever replaced Fanni would not retain a will and trust lawyer on a Rico prosecution, and who, if he or she is smart, would close this case down as the vexatious sham that it is.
The Judge more or less left her swinging in the wind if she decides
that all she is going to do is .......Kick her boyfriend to the curb.
Willis now has a whole slew of issues to deal with .......
other than her thuggish piece of vexatious litigation against Trump.
Amen and amen.
Whichever option Fani chooses, the defendants should monitor both Wade and Willis very closely to ensure that the one supposedly dropped has absolutely NOTHING to do with the case. As someone else said, Fani will double down on the stupid, and I would be shocked if they don’t violate the order.
I love you but I disagree
Dems never stop unless forced
She will keep on it
But it will be problematic for them on many fronts
Judge went political
Weak
Fat Fani has already been going down like Heels Up Harris.
But she got busted and it will cost the left dearly.
Prediction on how long until Fat Fani’s lover writes a tell all book?
LMAO
I have friends who did 25-28 years served for boatloads of Colombian weed in the 80s
Hippies no guns
Served that much
I detest our two tier justice system
It’s a classic sign of a dying state
Liz’s points, above, are enough to get her disbarred. Pete from Shawnee Mission insightfully adds:
<><>She leaked grand jury testimony to Michael Isakoff for his book.
<><>she had hold of an illegally recorded conversation
<><>she made this illegality one of the pillars of the Trump case
<><>a GA County DA cannot immunize someones testimony over a violation of FL state law.
<><>a DA poisoning the Jury Pool is unheard of
<><>and she went to church to do the poisoning.
.
This judge will go down ala Mike Pence as a dishonest judge and an embarrassment to the Constitution of the nation and the state of Georgia.
He will not see Republican support in the next election, nor will he see support from any minority community that desires Justice.
See ya judge, wouldn’t want to be ya!

Fani Willis fired worker who exposed alleged $500K federal grant abuse
By Social Links for Josh Christenson, Jan. 31, 2024, nypost.com
Fulton County DA Fani Willis, who is under investigation for allegedly spending taxpayer funds on lavish trips with an attorney she hired while the two were having an affair, is being called out by a former employee for apparently abusing another federal grant.
Willis — who is prosecuting Donald Trump for allegedly trying to illegally overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results — was confronted by staffer Amanda Timpson in a Nov. 19, 2021, meeting after the DA Willis’ former campaign social media manager Michael Cuffee planned to use part of a nearly $500,000 federal grant for travel, computers and “swag,” according to audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

“If appeals are filed, absolutely No Chance this trial gets going before Nov. of 2024...”
Attorney Kenneth Chesebro has already pleaded guilty in the Georgia election interference case involving former President Donald Trump and his allies. His lawyer, Scott Grubman, spoke with CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion about Friday’s ruling that allows District Attorney Fani Willis to stay on the case as long as Nathan Wade steps aside.

Seems like in Ga they do whatever the heck they please.
What if she leaves and no one in the county is willing to take up the case or just drops it?
I’m with you. The fall of America continues.
BINGO!
The judge is damaged goods as well. He should be reported to the bar, as well.
No question.

Megyn Kelly is joined by Alan Dershowitz, author of “Get Trump,” to discuss Judge Scott McAfee’s ruling in the Fani Willis disqualification case allowing Fani Willis to stay but forcing Nathan Wade to leave, how McAfee tried to “split the baby” and have it both ways, and more.
