OK, I’m waiting for a purple-haired activist with a nose ring and a degree in Grievance Studies to contribute enough to society to support me in my old age. And waiting. And waiting.
The student loan fiasco was a sort of pyramid scheme. The colleges got to collect straight from the government and as usual is such cases, it led to widespread abuse of government Monopoly money
People even in business schools think that printing money is fine the problem is it isn’t fine
It runs out or we go into inflation which reduces jobs which reduces students’ abilities to pay back the avg $60 to $100k which makes them hopeless which makes them not want to vote for democrats who are in charge
This money will never be seen again and the source will run out. People won’t sign up for this
Colleges are in trouble and now we see deans and presidents appointed by Obama in this scheme to be completely inept utterly corrupt, under qualified, wayyyyy overpaid, plagiarizers, anti Americans, antisemitic, completely unaware of where their money comes from- the students.
Biden is tasked with scrambling to give it a better face. He’ll fail
Of course, it is complete bullsh!t.
If you have worked your way to success, you’ll pay for this along with others’ healthcare, the many “gifts” we give to other countries and paying down the national debt incurred by politicians buying votes.
The problem is 1/3 of the population will believe him.

RE: in my little universe in the 1960s.
My case was father absent and lower middle class. When I see the pampered serial rapist rich frat boys on the Law and Order SVU and other shows I wonder what it would have been like to go through college just studying and relaxing. At one time I had three part time jobs and always had one and usually two. Somehow finished a 4 year degree in four years.
Let’s see, who does this help?
It helps the poor deluded people that were sold a bill of goods that everyone should and can go to college.
It relieves ‘students’ of the responsibility for pursuing degrees in subjects that can never allow them to earn the income necessary to repay their student loans if they ever were to earn that degree.
It helps universities continue to offer useless degrees while the public at large if finally coming to the realization that a college education is often useless and way overpriced.
It helps universities to continue to employ ‘Professors’ that teach racism and dubious theories of DEI and other theories that are counter to the peaceful progress of society.
I helps universities continue to revise history to support the destructive socialist theories of those who seek to destroy Western Civilization
On the whole I can not see this unconstitutional usurpation of power not delighted to the executive by a usurper in chief as benefitting me or any taxpayer in any way.
They have received their education on the backs of tax payer labor.

I suspect by the end of 2025...the college/fed loan program will be suspended, and create a massive amount of chaos for the fall semester of that year.
I'm sure Biden's logic is that when high-earning white collar workers have their loans paid off, they'll have more money to dine at Chipotle and Starbucks and the wage slaves will get to work more hours.

I think it does make sense. Someone who chooses to be a plumber should not have to pay for college for someone who chooses to go to college.
