John Mellencamp has issued a blunt, powerful statement calling for gun control in America.
Posting on his social media channels, the 72-year-old singer/songwriter writes, "Excuse me for stating the obvious truth. I do so out of love for this country and the pain of learning, once again, that children have been killed by gun violence.
"If we as a country want to find the collective will within ourselves to change our gun laws, let’s stop playing silly political games. Show the carnage on the news. Show the American people the dead children and others who have been struck down. Show us what guns and bullets can do to the human body.
The angry comments beneath Mellencamp's statement are an indication of just how badly the issue of gun control divides US citizens.
One comment reads, "When I see what guns can do to children it makes me want to buy another gun to protect children from such carnage."

I remember 1968 -1985 when the target was handguns. Almost every TV show had an anti-gun segment in which they preached the anti-gun line. News shows constantly showe crying cops because one of their own was murdered, with the camera man slowly closing in on the tears shed.
It was anything for gun control!
In 1985, seeing they could not make any headway on banning handguns, they then went for the rifles something they had always said they would never do!
And when they thought they had banned “As-s-s-ault Rifles” instead of turning off the lights and going home they looked and found a new target! Single Shot 50 cal Rifles “THAT CAN BRING DOWN AN AIRCRAFT WITH ONE SHOT!”
Gun owners are always up against a stacked deck so never give up your guns.

IMO, the carnage that this Biden Regime has wrought on us (e.g., J6 persecution pogroms, et al) is just as bad.

If he is serious about saving the lives of children, lock up all young black males from the ages of 14 to 44. If it just saves one life from “gun violence” it must be worth it. Right? Collective punishment works according to the hopolophobes, right?
