Hur to look into whether he should find some special excuse for Biden's mishandling of classified documents immediately or if it would be better to draw it out longer so they'd have a chance to truly savor that bottle of Glenfarclas.
That was in August. Today, we have the Mother of All Justifications — and it has me laughing harder than it has Biden's reelection campaign team breaking out in hives. Here it is from Hur's findings:
We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory. Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt. It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him—by then a former president well into his eighties—of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.
Unbelievable. Yes the DoJ actually officially stated that. If true, then Biden is clearly incapable of fulfilling the duties required of the office of the president.

If Biden is too old to be prosecuted then Trump is too old to be prosecuted. Biden is only 3 years older than Trump.

I’m beginning to think the “deep state” wants all the cases against Trump to fall apart. They want him elected in November so they can “run with all the money” and leave Trump holding the empty bag.
The report on Biden and his classified documents seems to be deliberately written to give Judge Cannon an out to dismiss the case of documents against Trump. The Georgia case is kaput and is going nowhere. SCOTUS seems to be ready to issue an opinion against Colorado leaving Trump on the ballot in all states, with an aside comment that an “insurrection” was never proven.
All that is remaining now is the NY case regarding Trump’s businesses and they may just have that one be a win by the deep state (trying to drain Trump fund funds) although knowing it will be overturned by SCOTUS at a later date. The true believers will then believe finally that the “walls are closing in”. They will settle for Trump being drained of all his money. At least for a year or so until the verdict is overturned.
However by that time, all the players (including the GOP retiring politicians) will be on their islands or bunkers waiting for the time of the big “Reset” and “Build Back Better”.

I’m fascinated with the sly nuance of Hur’s statement. Hur (or some coven of DoJ wordsmiths) does NOT say that Biden is demented. Hur says that Biden would PRESENT HIMSELF as a well-meaning old man with no memory, incapable of volition for years [i.e., that Biden would fake dementia]. This despite Biden running for, then serving as President for years subsequent to his willful mishandling and theft of classified documents.
It is implicit that Hur perceived Biden to be lying and dissembling during Hur’s interview with Biden, and that Hur foresaw Biden successfully deceiving a DC jury with this same false act. This mounts to: “Joe’s not demented; he’s a skillful lying scoundrel, therefore we can’t try him.” These folks set record lows for cynicism.
I think what they conveyed is that Biden is incompetent to stand trial. I agree.
