I think she is the one who wants out. She’s tired of leading him around like a stray calf...as if no one notices. He’s an embarrassment to her.

Just now he shuffled out of the "statement" he gave trying to read the teleprompter as to why the horrible border bill and Ukraine/Israel funding bill should pass. Literally incapable of answering questions on something supposedly important to him. So instead, he says the border crisis is because of Trump. Does his handlers believe people are that stupid?
The cabal that actually runs the Biden Presidency have power and influence due to Biden being the frontman. The same cabal has power within the conspiracy commonly known as the Democrat Party.
Those who seek to replace Biden must either overpower or placate the puppetmasters and a phalanx of Biden appointees and bureaucrats. This group will want to keep the imbecile in place, unless they are assured the replacement will retain them and give them the free rein to which they are accustomed.
“Outsiders” like Newsome or Whitmer would bring in their own mafia. Michelle Obama might fit the bill perfectly from the cabal’s perspective. But, having no qualifications herself, she would have to run as Obama’s fourth term, emphasizing continuity with the crap and buck idiots many voters are fed up with. Trump would need to convince the public that she was a Biden II/Dem insider or worse. MO has a temper, and no poker face at all. She could probably be triggered unto showing her nasty side, and complete lack to presidential self-control. I think she would self-destruct under pressure. Dem insiders likely know this. It’s a real shame they have such a dilemma.

The DNC's worst case scenario is if Joe dies suddenly or becomes so incoherent they can't run him. If he dies, they are stuck with Kamala as the incumbent President and therefore as their nominee. If he becomes totally incoherent they can use the 25th amendment but that just makes Kamala Acting President, not actually the President, but then they still have a problem of how to deny her the nomination.
