Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Washington on Tuesday in yet another attempt to extract billions upon billions of dollars in aid for his nation's war with Russia.
What began as a sit-down in the Oval Office ended with Joe Biden giving a presser trashing the very people he needs to try to bring on board. Namely, Republican House and Senate members who do not want to send more money overseas to Ukraine without first addressing America's historic border crisis.
Biden took the podium not to persuade but to rant, and it perfectly exposed the kindergarten level of logic he operates with.

BIDEN: Holding Ukraine funding hostage in an attempt to force through an extreme Republican partisan agenda on the border is not how it works. We need real solutions.
On the contrary, that's exactly how it works because Biden is not a dictator. If he'd like to gain enough support from the nation's legislature, including the GOP-led House, then he has to compromise on other priorities. It is also not "holding Ukraine funding hostage" to demand the securing of America's border before we spend another $100 billion on a border halfway across the globe.
Ukraine is not part of the United States. It is not owed anything. Biden speaks as if Ukraine funding is just a normal part of the appropriations process. It is not, and if he'd like to secure more money for Zelensky and company, then he's going to have to get serious about the border.
He's not going to get serious, though. Instead, Biden is going to continue to demagogue the issue.

Foreign policy decisions are not made based on what some Russian talk show says or doesn't say. That's a moronic, immature suggestion. The only reason the president is bringing that up is to make the disgusting claim that Republicans are somehow in cahoots with Vladimir Putin if they don't bow down and do exactly what Biden and Zelensky want. Foreign policy decisions should be based on the facts on the ground, not childish guilt-by-association claims.
Speaking of childish, it wouldn't be a Biden presser without his brain returning to that level of functionality multiple times. Actually, I suspect one of my young kids could read their notes better than this.

BIDEN: "We also need Ukraine to make changes to fix the broken immigration system here—" pic.twitter.com/LQh6xJrMS9— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) December 12, 2023
BIDEN: "It doesn't lessen the responsibility, going after Hamas, to innocent Palestinians and Hamas" pic.twitter.com/i1XF6wI5kx— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) December 12, 2023
He has his script right in front of him, and he still can't make it through. Saying Ukraine needs to fix the American immigration system? Describing Hamas as innocent? Just another day at the office for Joe Biden.
Returning to the main theme of the presser, one can support funding Ukraine, though I'm personally at the point where I want a real strategic plan before another dollar is spent, and "as long as it takes" is not a strategy. Regardless, Republicans were given Congress to offer a counter to Biden's failed policies, not rubber stamp them. Every time the president throws out a new insult, the amount required to fix the border should go up. Make him eat his words, though he probably won't even remember saying them.
So very sick of pResident poopy-pants.
He only reflects valjar and O

Knowledgeable American officials say Ukrainians have
unrealistic expectations about what the US will supply.
Ukranians are asking for millions of rounds of artillery
from Western stockpiles............... that do not exist.
Americans demand to know the consequences for American families’
safety and security WRT Biden’s military drawdown for Ukraine.
Dedicated US public policy should be summarily adopted, and must unequivocally stipulate:
<><>tax dollars for foreign wars should never be considered, now or ever,
<><>no more Biden admin fantasies WRT endlessly financing foreign wars
<><>Ukraine’s end goal must be finalized in the Ukraine,
<><>U.S. commitment to Ukraine achieving that goal must of necessity be nil.

BIDEN: We’ve sent Ukraine thousands of anti-armor, anti-[air] missiles, helicopters, drones, grenade launchers, machine guns, rifles, radar systems, more than 50 million rounds of ammunition. The United States alone has provided 10 anti-armor systems for every Russian tank that is in Ukraine — 10 to 1.
We’re providing Ukraine significant, timely intelligence to help them defend themselves against the Russian onslaught.
And we’re facilitating a significant flow of weapons and systems to Ukraine from our Allies and partners around the world, including tanks, artillery, and other weapons.
That support is moving with unprecedented speed.
Much — much of the new equipment we’ve announced in the past two mon- — two weeks has already gotten to Ukraine, where it can be put to direct use on the battlefield.
However, we have almost exhausted what we call — the fancy phrase — the “drawdown authority” that Congress authorized Ukraine — authorized for Ukraine in a bipartisan spending bill last month.
Basically, we’re out of money.
And so, that’s why today, in order to sustain Ukraine as it — as it continues to fight, I’m sending Congress a supplemental budget request.
It’s going to keep weapons and ammunition flowing without interruption to the brave Ukrainian fighters and continue delivering economic and humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people.
This so-called supplemental funding addresses the needs of the Ukrainian military during the crucial weeks and months ahead. And it begins — it begins to transition to longer-term security assistance that’s going to help Ukraine deter and continue to defend against Russian aggression.
This assistance would provide even more artillery, armored vehicles, anti-armor systems, anti-air capabilities that have been used so effectively thus far on the battlefield by the Ukrainian warriors.
You know, and it’s going to deliver much-needed humanitarian assistance as well as food, water, medicines, shelter, and other aid to Ukrainians displaced by Russia’s war, and provide aid to those seeking refuge in other countries from Ukraine.
It’s also going to help schools and hospitals open. It’s going to allow pensions and social support to be paid to the Ukrainian people so they have something — something in their pocket. It’s also going to provide critical resources to address food shortages around the globe.

OTOH, the Biden Crime Family is all attiter....
Biden is going to finance the US “rebuilding" of war-torn Ukraine.
Taxpayers will get the bills, and the Bidens get a piece of the billions.
"Happy day$$$ are here, again."
Except that he’s not even offering that. Not even a coffee mug.
Buried down in that request for money to support UKR, Israel and DoD interests is $18 Billion for the DoD to replace arms lost in Afghanistan AND to replace stockpiles diminished by what UKR has already received.
This, coupled with wildly-imagined cautions that IF the money isn’t passed our sons and daughters will end up fighting Russia in Europe. With depleted stockpiles. Then what is there left to fight with? Take a guess. But that ‘fear’ is deemed irrational and nonsensical by pro-UKR Zeepers. The answer is simple for those of us who have definite views on the merits/demerits of the conflict - DO SOMETHING SUBSTANTIVE on Southern Border control and you get your money. It isn’t going to help anyway.
That disgusting SOB-——he buried in the Ukranian/Israel/border atrocity
$18 billion tax dollars for the DoD “to replace arms” lost in Afghanistan
AND “to replace” US stockpiles diminished by UKR’s corruption.
Say what?..... another payoff to the Biden Crime Family and their enablers on Capitol Hil.
The malignant Democrat also tells us that IF billions arent handed out to foreign wars,
our sons and daughters will end up fighting Russia in Europe.
With what?
Oh, I almost forgot, we’re gonna fight the Ruskis w/ depleted stockpiles of US arms.
Demented fool.
Zman’s green “I am in the middle of a war costume” just isn’t as convincing as it used to be. Maybe he should cut off an arm or something.
With a depleted stockpile of adequate first-line weapons, diminished manpower resources (e.g., recruiting is in trouble) and other country wide problems (our Borders) what system(s) are available to fight with in this inevitable fight we’ll have with Russia in Europe? MAJOR systems. CBGs, BMs, airpower with our stealth armada...and then? Thousands of them on both sides - in silos and on planes, in subs and other naval vessels. But those fears are irrational according to pro-UKRs. Just pony up those billions for UKR and everything will be copasetic.
