Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

A lot of cats are determined to tell someone about their food preferences.

The Late PV was that way. Extremely vocal when he thought he was being starved. At 22#, I don’t think he was, actually!

Little Floof looks ready for the day, even if I’m not!

Good morning. I hope you had a good night’s rest after a day at camp yesterday.

Today being laundry day, nothing else is planned, except for maybe getting a hair cut. It will be good to get it off my neck.

Chip has turned out to be a picky eater. But that’s OK: He doesn’t have to fight for his food any longer so if he doesn’t want to eat what’s put down for him, I’ll try something else. Poor fluffy.

Good morning. I was happy to get the hair off my neck, too. Maybe Chip just isn’t as hungry now. That’s a good thing.

Good luck with the laundry.

The laundry is done, but I forgot I had a tissue in the pocket of one of my jeans, so, snowflakes! I’m glad I washed them separately from the tops or I would have had a massive mess to clean up!

Both doors are open about an inch so the cool air can come in, and now that the sun is beginning to get higher in the sky at midday, I can open the blinds a little for some more light.

I’ll get the box fan out today and get it set up, though from Wednesday to Friday, there will be a 20° drop in the high temperature, due to rainy weather. El Niño is still with us, so rain is the OOD - Order Of the Day. I’m really tired of rainy weather, but at least it’s not as frequent as it has been. And rain constitutes our “winter” so I shouldn’t complain. At least we don’t have to shovel it!

I thought I’d go try to take a nap while it’s still early.

Good morning. Happy Monday!

My sore throat seems to have gotten over itself. I just have a minor discomfort now instead of the sense that it’s on fire. I was also able to sleep through the night last night. So hopefully it’s just the residual cough that’s left.

We had some chilly weather over the weekend, but it’s warming up again. We’re supposed to hit 57 fs today and 65 tomorrow.

My new starter Wordle word has me riding the teeter-totter again. Today was an up day.

Wordle 1,038 3/6*

I’m glad you’re feeling better!

We’re looking at 88° today, and I will be out in it for a while. But not just yet. I’ll wait until the sun is over the yardarm.

How’s the Princess Dog doing?

The Princess is doing well. She’s still in record territory without a seizure. That’s both good and bad. Good because it’s been so long and bad because we’re more on edge with every twitch.

Her liver values had not improved so we’ve started her on a regimen that supposed to chelate the copper from her system. Phase 1 is to give her some steroids so that when we start Phase 2 she (hopefully) won’t be too nauseous to tolerate it. They say it could improve her values within a month. I certainly hope we don’t have to go much longer making her feel sick.

But for today, she’s doing great.

That happens to me sometimes, too. I hope you have a good nap. I’ll be off to Walmart.

Good Monday Morning!

Glad that your throat is clearing up... it has also been chilly here for the past couple of days... should be closer to normal Spring temps by tomorrow...

Thanks. If I napped at all, it was about 20 minutes, which was about an hour shy of what I was aiming for. That’s OK. After an hour of lying there, I got up and listened to a couple of uplifting talks, then went to Great Clips and got my hair cut.

The girl seemed a little intimidated, though I had tried to put her at ease, but I had to tell her again I wanted it layered so the curl could work like it was supposed to and by the time she was done, it was what I “saw” in my head before I left. They had a sale today, and it was $13.99, so I was really happy about that! She got what I was going to tip her before I went in, even though she had to work a little harder, so her day started out pretty good.

When I got home, Chuck’s car was in his parking space and then I remembered that on Friday, he said his boss was coming today. I hope things work out for him!

The clothes have been hung up, and what soggy tissue wasn’t swept up off the laundry room floor has been swept up off the bathroom floor, so alles est gut!

Now I can go find something to do — after I make the bed. Some things are more important than others!

It’s hard to see our pets go through so much, because they can’t tell us where they hurt or that they are not feeling well.

I hope things work out well for all of you with the change in her diet. As I’ve said before, I’ll keep you all in my prayers! I’m really hoping this new regimen helps her.
