How exactly is this a “school,” and how exactly are the people who attend it “students”? It seems more like a day care center for juvenile delinquents.

This video from NBC News shows multiple “students” brutally beating a school employee at Hill Crest High “School” in Queens, New York.

I put the words “students” and “school” in quotation marks, because based on everything that the media has reported on this institution, it doesn’t seem to be a “school,” and the people who attend it don’t seem to be “students.”

The “students” skipped “class” for two hours so they could jump up and down in the hallways, and yell and scream about a teacher who had attended a pro-Israel rally on her own personal time during off school hours. I don’t think the “students” who are yelling and screaming actually have any idea what it is that they are yelling and screaming about. The “students” threatened the teacher, and she had to lock herself in a room for her own protection.

How exactly is this a “school,” and how exactly are the people who attend it “students”?

It seems more like a day care center for juvenile delinquents.

Who told the kids to riot? That’s what I want to know.

Their masters.

Mayor Adams says, 'we're better than this'. Mayor Adams is wrong. The kids in the school - FROM THE BLACK COMMUNITY' are NOT 'better than this'... it's who they are becoming and who they are...

Mayor Adams is delusional

.

Time to take a deep breath and get real - the fatherless black community has real problems - and they won't be solved by delusions or one more MLK Community Center plus walking around money.

What these feral youths need is a free one way ticket back to Africa where they belong!

I don’t think we have state reform schools anymore, but they need to be reinstated.

There has to be some point where we separate the crazies from children who are still teachable.

More efficient to allow the 20% or so that want to learn to escape the public schools and use vouchers for choice. Leave the public schools as the reform schools as the teachers only teach marxism and the students only seem to learn about climate change.

Yes, Where I taught, (CA), each district had to form a “continuation” school where troubled students (and trouble making students) could attend and not interfere with students who want to learn. The students earned credits for minutes in class but had the priviledge of roaming or leaving school grounds if they wanted to. I taught a science class and found that my students attended about two days a week and we had no evaluations, or assigned reading. Just discussed science and demonstrated concepts.

While I was there we did not have riots, but I am Jewish, I doubt I would make that public if I were a teacher today.

And as far as that goes, it is not part of my teaching to bring up personal things, (math and science — remember).

One last thing, this was not my choice of an assignment, but our district was laying off teachers and I was picking up this assignment to see if I could stay in the district or have to leave. I ended up leaving and was offered a job in the aerospace industry even though I loved teaching, it turns out I also enjoyed electronic engineering as well.

Seems like that’s what public schools have degenerated into.

but seriously, do states have reform schools anymore????

Thanks to Oprah and others of her stupid liberal ilk reform schools, discipline, expulsions, etc. was smeared as the prison to pipeline route for black students.

Their idiotic solution is now called restorative justice wherein discipline has been eliminated from the school setting and the animals remain to ruin it for everyone.
