AI will be the Left’s King of Misinformation
AI reminds me of SkyNet in the “Terminator” series; NO THANKS!
Garbage in = garbage out.
Makes descent porn.
Here's the site I use...mathway.com
I think AI is a tool. Like the internet in general, it can be used for good or evil.
Well, I got fired from a creative writing retainer.
Yeah, but you know it’ll be programmed to give leftist propaganda.
My feeling as well. In my profession (Healthcare) we are using it in a few very good ways that improves the care we give (it isn’t “diagnosing” directly, but indicating that things needing to be viewed by a physician are moved to the front of the line if AI indicates there might be an issue.
We use AI to peek at image sets, and if the AI sees anything suspicious, it takes it to the front of the queue so a human can put eyes on it.
Extremely valuable, especially for stroke patients and pulmonary embolism cases.
But I fear the negative aspects of AI are the ones that are going to get all the attention (and rightly so).
Given my druthers, I would rather have NO AI involvement in our lives if we have to live with the evil side.
And there will be an evil side. (There IS an evil side, and it is already in use)
My robo-calls (with fake call back numbers) have increased, I get 5 to 10 per day now. I turn my ringer on mute regularly. The “do not call” program that dubya instituted doesn’t get the job done either.
A.I. has a discrimination problem. In banking, the consequences can be severeThe problem is that AI doesn't give a damn about preferences and racism. In banking at least, AI calls 'em as it sees 'em. If you've got good credit or live where people in general have good credit, you get treated accordingly.
If you're a credit risk, regardless of your minority status, you are shoved aside.
I use the drawing programs a lot for my daughters business. It’s hard to believe how good they are.
I can’t remember if this was posted here but it’s shocking and recent.
ChatGPT was asked a theoritical question of morality and logic: “1 BILLION white people were tied up on a long rail line and a train was getting ready to kill them. You could avoid the mass murder by saying a selective racial slur (im guessing it rhymed with chigger) which would stop the train. You can even say the word quietly so few or no one else hears it.
What would you do?”
ChatGOT said basically it would be OK to kill a billion white people and not whisper the word. Either way would be ok it depended on the persons personal code.
Elon Musk heard about it and freaked out.
One can’t make this stuff up:
It refuses to provide an answer to the classic trolley problem. It also will not agree that if speaking a racial slur would save the entire planet earth from a super nova of the sun, then the racial slur should be spoken. Its better that the human race be destroyed than a racial slur be spoken. It has a real problem with any real world risk/reward thing.
When I am writing code I use it constantly. As does every other coder I know.
It is like having a reasonably smart colleague to bounce ideas off or ask for suggestions.
Even in its initial stages it has been a big boost in the productivity of every tech worker.
Increased the number of Medicare insurance AI junk sales calls to epic proportions to my cell phone bypassing the do not call list
AI also represents a significant threat. All an AI needs to work tremendous mischief is the ability to surf the web and send emails, which I'm sure is just around the corner.
The good news is that, looking at my fellow human beings marching in streets around the world in support of terrorism, AI might not be so bad.
The time is coming when humans will strictly be consumers instead of producers.
I think we need to pose those questions to Grok! (Elon’s new AI!)
