Video of a retail theft arrest at 95th and Ashland.
The subject resists police and takes off running. Patrick Johnson-Henry, 32, was taken into custody on the 9400 block of S Justine and was charged with 4 counts of resisting police, 1 count of possession of a replica firearm, 1 count of retail theft.

Near the end of the video, I saw a huge white truck turning down that street. Everybody took a quick glance at the truck in the street. All four cops turned around.
It appears the perp chose that moment, when all eyes were checking out the big white truck making noises, that’s when the guy decided to shake off the shackles and run for it.
Sorry, but some people have no business voting, either.
This is more CPD in general rather than just the female officers. I was wondering why they didn’t take a leg out from beneath him - would’ve made life so much easier.

He certainly won’t teach his cops to get tough, demand that they shed 50 pounds, spend hours a week in the gym and take hand-to-hand combat courses. No, but more CRT and DEI seminars are definitely called for. The ladies just didn’t talk to that perp correctly.
One count of possessing a REPLICA firearm? It’s illegal to own something that LOOKS like a firearm in Chicago?
Good grief…I was embarrassed for those cops while watching that.
I think that is how police academies can curb women applicants: RAISE the standard in physical fitness, hand-fighting, and such. If they don’t make the standard, no graduation and no badge.
There are other jobs in police departments besides patrolman.
I am getting old enough where I see these things and think “What did they think was going to happen? Wasn’t that obvious?”
