Sunday, Nov. 21 in 1920 was โBloody Sundayโ in Ireland, a date begun with the IRA execution of British agents in Dublin, and concluded with three IRA men killed in British custody.
Thirty-one people lost their lives on this 1920 Bloody Sunday, a signal event of the Irish War of Independence; the thirteen of them who were British intelligence officers or assets targeted for an en masse morning liquidation suffices to qualify the affair for these grim pages.
โExecutionsโ, assassinations or otherwise, the killings were ordered by Irish revolutionary Michael Collins in the escalating dirty war between his Irish Republican Army and the Black and Tans dispatched by London to crush the IRA.....

The targeted killings were an effective change in the Anglo-Irish war, in which those Brits calling the shots were personally held accountable, delivering the message that the war would not be fought on British terms any longer. Had Collins lived longer, the struggle against British rule might have gone differently. Unfortunately, the Irish continued its devolution into an internecine civil war and the focus delayed.
And now the geniuses have elected some Taoseach...or whatever the hell it’s called... who is trying to kill Ireland with his global warming psychosis.
And gave U2 something to sing about.
Just so we don’t have to listen to Yoko Ono screech “Sunday, Bloody Sunday!”
Itโs also worth noting that Irelandโs prime minister is a big fan of Muslim immigration. He has evidently learned nothing from the French and German experiences.
So now the race is on. What will destroy Ireland first, the global warming hysteria or the โpeacefulโ Muslim invaders?
Different Bloody Sunday.
That’s also true. Ireland should go back to the old school, smoke filled, clanking glasses, laughing, smiling, Clancy Brothers music, dancing etc pubs. Throw the filthy Teosaetch in a bog first.
Ah, the Irish. 700 years of bad decisions. Why stop now?
Yeah, I know but they should stick to their own issues and stay out of ours. ๐๐

Since you mentioned the Clancy Brothers, Iโve got a little story for you.
Iโm not Irish, but I love Irish music. And the Clancy Brothers are high on my list. I have many of their songs. Well, I once had a supervisor who was always looking to write people up. And he happened to be Irish. He had the red hair, the accent, the whole deal.
When he came to evaluate me, I learned to steer the conversation from work to the music of the Clancy Brothers. He too was a big fan. That grumpy old Irishman never gave me a bit of trouble.
I get ginned up with the music too! Literally...it makes me want to drink! I have a grandaughter who competes nationally in Irish dancing.โ๏ธ
I’m thankful to the Irish though...I learned to box and street fight growing up on the south side of Chicago thanks to them.๐
Don’t forget Paul McCartney’s “Give Ireland Back to the Irish”, though I think that was a different Bloody Sunday.

Well, I’m half Irish on my dad’s side and half cajun on my mom’s side. There’s a lot to be said for the Irish, but their history is tragic.
Love Cajun cuisine/zydeco! 2/3 Scots/Irish here! Love the pipes too. Glad ancestors came here a couple of centuries ago.
Give me some Clifton Chenier and some filรจ gumbo and I’m a happy man.
