Hmm I am curious what the academic response would be if she were a Neo Nazi? Hamas is a internationally recognized terrorist groups so they are the equivalent of the Neo Nazis.
UCSB offers a Bachelors degree in Middle East Studies. Although it sounds as if it would be comprehensive it appears to be concentrating more on the Islamic effect of those areas throughout history. You can read it for yourself on their website.
I believe it was started in 1994....after some major monetary donations from Saudi associated groups.
UCSB no longer is a fair-minded organization and I would not recommend anyone who wants a socially unbiased education going there. The student “proto-alcoholic” ghetto in Isla Vista, adjacent to the campus, helps cement the beehive orthodoxy there.
All this, despite the natural beauty of the campus, and its’ high research value in STEM subjects.
