Murdered “woke” CEO buzzed her black killer into the building–was she sadly trying not to appear “racist”?

Progressive culture teaches white liberals that standing up to specific individuals—mainly black folks—makes them racist. According to this twisted ideology, resisting theft, assault, or even murder from these people will get them labeled “racists.” And God forbid some white liberal calls the police during an attack and actually gets the perpetrator arrested; they’ll find themselves canceled and their lives upended. It’s better for white liberals to just endure the assault and quietly move on. So, when a Forbes “30 Under 30” CEO, a standout entrepreneur with a bright future, was murdered by a black man in her apartment building—a stranger who she buzzed through the door—many naturally wondered if she did so because she didn’t want to appear “racist.”

Thanks for the correction. So is that due to Maryland’s sentencing laws, to serve 6+ years of 30? Anything which gets you a 30-year sentence should be enough to never be let out.

Having lost the interest of Chads and having disdained ordinary guys, she was reduced to being run through by Tyrones.

Re: "It seems really wrong to politicize this tragedy."

I disagree.

According to the official Police and press narrative, she did not know her murderer.

That means when she opened the door for a complete stranger, she put her neighbors at risk, and possibly put some of her own employees at risk, since her company is also located in that building.

Her decision was one full reckless step beyond politics.

I doubt it has anything to do with politics. Most people think they’re cautious and careful, but they take chances every day without thinking about it. This woman may have let people into the building before. Many people let other people into buildings. Doors have been opened to me, too, by people who didn’t know me. Most of the time, the stranger is trustworthy.

All it takes is that one time the psychopath comes to the door.

This is going to sound harsh but this is where we are.

Thank goodness it was a Leftist.

She voted for it. She was exactly the kind that virtue signaled her militant naivete and stupidity - the same kind that is quick to hurl insults at anyone who does not subscribe to her particular brand of idiocy. What happened to her is a direct result of her ideology put into practice.

I’m glad it was not someone else who did nothing to cause this. But for her and people like her, this dangerous predator would have still been in prison and would have stayed there for a long long time. Now there is one less of those idiots in the world. One fewer vote for Biden.

Good.

Re: "I think he was a maintenance man in the building..."

No - that was a completely different violent crime event, committed several days before, in a different building, by the same man.

I think the dead CEO female might have been purchasing drugs and/or engaging in anonymous sex.

The dead CEO lived in the building. Her company was located in the building.

Why would she be sitting alone in the lobby, at 9 PM on a Friday night, and then let a complete stranger in the door, and voluntarily get into the elevator with him?

Re: "He was actually the recently hired maintenance guy in her building."

No.

He was the maintenance guy in a different building.

He committed two brutal assaults and a rape in that building.

Several days later, he murdered the CEO, but not in the building where he worked.

Two different crime scenes.

He worked at one building.

He did NOT work at the dead CEO's building.

He’s an equal opportunity demon. Just as with his first rape victim. He heard her arguing with her boyfriend. So he offered to escort her where she was going and then brutally raped her.

Re: "The killer probably told the victim he was a MAINTENANCE WORKER, like he did to this other victim."

Billingsley, the murderer, did work at the building where the other woman was raped.

She and her husband were brutally beaten and set on fire by Billingsley.

The Police have specifically said that the dead CEO female did not know Billingsley, and he did NOT work at her building.

For reasons unknown, and not explained by the Police, the female CEO was actually sitting in her lobby at 9 PM, on Friday night, willingly opened the door to the murderer, and willingly got on the elevator with him.

That opens an entirely new menu of possibilities.

Was she buying drugs? Was he a date for anonymous sex?

We need to know why the CEO was waiting in the lobby, before we speculate about what happened.

Yes, unanswered questions that in the end should result in a swift trial and an execution shortly thereafter...but that won’t happen. We live in an upside down, perverted world whose justice system is about to convert to vigilantism.....or a police state, but not sure who’ll be running things...criminals most likely, if history is any lesson.

According to this report, surveillance video doesn't show her waiting in the lobby. She'd just arrived home.

Here's what happened:

On Friday, Billingsley was captured on video following LaPere as she walked home . . . LaPere did not seem to notice the suspect, who kept a distance from her . . . LaPere entered her apartment building’s lobby but returned to the front door after she saw a man, later identified as Billingsley, waving at her through the glass . . . Billingsley appeared as though he was having trouble getting into the building – as if he had forgotten his keys . . . LaPere opened the door and let Billingsley in . . . The two can be seen on video having a conversation before getting into an elevator together . . . . About 40 minutes passed between when Billingsley followed LaPere into the elevator and when he left the building . . .

Re: "Would not be surprised to learn that she was at various BLM events and that she even gave big $$$s to the scam."

She praised BLM in a Web post, stated that her company goals were identical to the goals of BLM, and indicated that her company donated hours of work or money to BLM each month.

Sorry - I do not have a link. The page looked like something from their website, but I did not see that when I scrolled through their website this morning.

Probably a historical cache link, from before the time all the BLM folks started getting indicted.

Thanks.

The news about video of her being followed by Billingsley is completely new to me.

She was on her way home from an art show, after dark. The person she was with would have instantly volunteered to walk her all the way home. She must have said no, that she would be fine.

The original Police statement on Friday said nothing about street videos.

The original Police statement just talked about the surveillance video in her apartment lobby.

The original statement said she was sitting in her lobby.

The coin toss between life and death.

She lived and worked in her building.

There is probably no one in that building she does not know on sight or by name.

What could a hoodlum like Billingsley have possibly said that would motivate her to open the door, or to get on the same elevator with him?

-"There is probably no one in that building she does not know on sight or by name."-

Maybe not... People move in and out of apartments all the time. The tenants keep changing, and most people keep to themselves.

-"What could a hoodlum like Billingsley have possibly said that would motivate her to open the door, or to get on the same elevator with him?"-

He must've managed to look and sound trustworthy and friendly, and he must've convinced her that he lived or worked there. That's what psychopaths do.

Poor woman...
