Great find.

For those scoffers that state, “they’ve been predicting end times for centuries” do not understand Scripture.

See you in the air Brother. Thanks for posting this.

There are two lunatics on the world stage that need to be locked up fast before they destroy humanity. Both are egotistical madmen -Harrai is one and the other is James Giordano, the DARPA mind engineering madman. They are demonic SOB to put it lightly.

And REQUIRES a human behind the scenes, programming and algorithms.

A wise man once predicted it will be...

"Programmed by fellas with compassion and vision
We'll be clean when their work is done
We'll be eternally free, yes, and eternally young"

Great poetry and music are great because some human being, through talent, experience, and work, created them. They might inspire others to put their talent, experience, and work toward creative purposes. The product is important, but so is the creative process. I visited Daniel Boone’s home and was impressed by the beautiful woodwork and furniture he had made by hand. It gave me a new angle to my appeciation of the man. You can get a machine to do the same thing these days and while the product might be good, it is not nearly as impressive. Not even close.

I don't believe this guy. I am bullish on the technology, but I think broad sweeping statements about AI are being oversold. We have been studying AI for over 50 years. Large Language Models are the latest thing and even they have limitations: expensive to train, cannot train themselves on new data, rote responses, etc.

Sapiens was such trash I could not finish. It's a top 5 book for Bill Gates - that should tell you something.

I have noticed the same thing. Also improper emphasis and inflection of words. Not ready for prime time. Regardless, I take everything with a grain of salt these days

Well, this country isn’t like your home country. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it - good, hard and deserved.

Sounds like you don’t mind the same people who are currently destroying THIS country through government, media and tech to become Max Headroom x10 and ramp up the destruction through strictly digital means. It sure gives them cover for all of their corrupt, diabolical schemes... “Wasn’t me! It was AI...”

That sound good to you? 🙄

That we can now point to people and machines written in prophecies should make us wonder just how close we are.

AI sounds like a huge slave maker to me.

My place, too. But I have air conditioning.

There’s no way I’m going thru South Alabama summer without it. If I have to burn wood to generate power for it, I would. I have plenty of trees.

Well thats true, there is plenty of bad music, poetry and recipes now. I would cook any recipe that looks like it would be tasty no matter who wrote it, also I stay away from recipes that may be toxic.

Backyard Wood Powered Generator
Free electricity? Free heat? Yep, you can have both with a wood powered generator. 10KW generator made from a 1961 Pontiac 4 cylinder engine

“Well, this country isn’t like your home country”

This country is my home country, there is a difference between country home and home country.

“That sound good to you?”

The description you narrate does not sound good at all. I have found most tools can be used for good and bad, a knife cuts meat but also kills, guns are good for hunting and security, but can also be used to murder. I have a more open mind and will see what comes. My guess is both good and bad will come from it. At this point I do not think machines will destroy us.

Agree with you, my brother is building a cabin in the mountains, he bought a farm house from the 1800s with logs about 15/15 inches, the wood work is beautiful.

This is assuming that AI actually becomes sentient. Large intellectual leap there, and one that has not yet been satisfactorily plotted out.

Large numbers of humans jobless and AI or robots doing most of the work would also shake the foundations of human domination, even before the machines became self-aware.

“AI will do what the programmer wants it to do”

It’s only as good as the coders Kumar and Hang Lo who wrote it.
