When is Bubba the Rapist going to be charged and convicted ?
Hail Xenu!
It’s impossible to defend yourself against an accusation from 25 years before. Quick, where were you on the night of April 3, 1993? Can you provide witnesses?
And then add in Hollywood and golf digging whores and it’s a farce in its face. There should be much more rational statute of limitations.
Used to be only murder and treason (IIRC) had no time limit.
Someone explain to me how the hell a woman can come forward, claim Donald Trump raped her in the dressing room of a high end dept store like Bergdof and Goodman almost THIRTY years ago without one scintilla of proof, without any witnesses, without any CCTV security camera footage which a high end store like B&G had and he ends up being found not liable for rape but for sexual assault and has to pay her $5 mill?? This woman who said “rape is sexy” was just sooooo incredibly believable to the jury? What the hell?
And THEN when he defends himself, he is found liable for defamation? WELL WHAT ABOUT HIM being defamed? What the hell is going on here? Gee it’s good to know that this can happen to me or you or ANY guy for any reason whatsoever, proof, evidence be damned.
I hope he wins on appeal.
The author spent half of his essay apologizing for his support of a Statute of Limitations.
No one can competently defend himself against a rape charge twenty years after the fact.
End of discussion!
I honestly hope he appeals the sentence, if for nothing else but to call attention to the cloud of the statue of limitations that hangs overhead with these accusations.
He wasn’t just prosecuted for one act one time. He displayed a pattern of raping gals who had been sternly advised to trust him as a mentor and leader in their “church,” who trusted those who told them to trust him, and were subsequently stalked, harassed, defamed, and pretty much had their lives ruined afterwards. Over years of time. They took their cases to law enforcement and that made things worse.
Scientology made it easy for Mr Masterson to do this and there is a lot of back-and-forth back-scratching here. The women had an extremely difficult time getting him into court in the first place. Things went wrong over and over again. Meanwhile they are enduring job loss, being spied on, having to move because of targeted harassment, having their pets killed, and so on. Getting up the nerve to report something to the police and then having them sh1t on you like that is of course quite discouraging and frightening.
A guy without all that backing - fame, reputation, wealth, AND Scientology that not only sticks up for the worst people but aids and abets their actions as it makes them appear sort of golden, like they will never get in trouble no matter what they do - will rape someone or try to, and get arrested soon afterwards, and be put in jail, and have to go to court, and may have to go to prison. Maybe those things WON’T happen to him but they remain in the area of “distinctly probable” for some time afterward - a guy’s going to worry even if he does get away with it.
But not Mr Masterson - there was a whole system of supporters and well-wishers out there running interference for him. He was not worried. People felt sorry for him like he was just dealing with crazy women who wanted his money.
In Scientology, young men target and gang-rape girls and women who cause any kind of trouble for the cult, and sometimes they just do it for fun. If the girl gets pregnant from that, she is often forced to have an abortion. A lot of the time the victim is underage, too - the mom will be involved in Scientology and to a scientologist’s “OT” view, kids are loose cannons and if they are starting to become troublesome (taking up Mom’s time and causing her to make decisions that AREN’T in the best interests of the cult, don’t ya know) then that is one way to deal with them - and it’s a very gangsterish way at that. I say all the time that Scientology is nothing but an organized crime cult. Someday people will know that.
Are the children of Scientology to blame for this or to be held partially accountable for not reporting the abuse they often suffer?
(It would be kinda ironic if this Di Leo guy was a catholic, wouldn’t it?)
I read some of the comments on the article and this guy seems to be getting an undue amount of sympathy, probably because the case has been going on for YEARS and YEARS and so of course people don’t know a lot of the details.
In-depth reading from other sources suggests that Masterson committed many more than the three rapes that are part of the criminal case against him. These are just three cases where the victims decided to pursue the issue, and they were rewarded with an extra round of suffering for their efforts.
The first time they tried him, the case got thrown out so the victims had to go through the whole ordeal over again to get him convicted. Why would they have put themselves through it if they had known in their hearts that they were exaggerating or lying?
It would be extra, extra ironic if the author (it doesn’t say this in his bio on the site) was a Roman Catholic AND a Scientologist! Right? Wouldn’t that be funny?
I wonder why Mr Di Leo didn’t say anything about the one gal who went to the cops right away? Hm. Maybe he’s just having an emotionally-driven response, you know, seeing a guy who didn’t do anything that bad because these loose gals were asking for it and everybody knows women who want to work in the entertainment industry are all wh0res anyway but now everybody jus’ hatin’ on the poor dude because he’s a Scientologist and THIS IS JUST LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO DONALD TRUMP.
Er, no, it’s not. DT is no angel, but he’s not a rapist. As much hate as he gets, they would have got him by now. E Jean Carroll and her hoo-hah story are as good as that is gonna get for them.
Mr Masterson has taken advantage of LOTS of women and had Scientology protecting him all that time, and they finally after a long time got him for two of the rapes.
I’m not willing to bet that this guy is that ignorant about Mr Masterson’s case. He knows! lol
We shouldn’t want to take his side. He's a Scientologist - a particularly offensive cult that has a huge amount of power in the Hollywood community.
I'm sorry, but it's INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
The fact that the accused is a Scientologist should not matter and should not be mentioned.
NOTE: On twatter Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis (Scientology maroons) are defending themselves for defending their bud, Danny Masterson. “We know we are total jerks for defending this guy we know raped women and, well.....we’re sorry.”
His friends knew what he was up to.
It’s strange that you didn’t indicate up front that you were the author of the article you posted.
One of the women who said he raped them was his girlfriend of 6 years. She said she was raped 3 years in the relationship yet stayed another 3 years.....
