As it should be.

We had to put down our most recent boxer two years and four and a half months ago.   As he got older, my wife was afraid he might fall down the steps from the deck so we had to close and block his doggie door, then begin walking him in the backyard.   When I would take him outside in the deep dark night we often just stood there under the trees communing with nature as Boon Companions.

Dogs need to be allowed to do what they want to do, to the extent possible. Otherwise. the energy is diverted to undesirable behavior. I used to have some worthless neighbors that had Springer Spaniels. I don’t know why they had them. One of them was always on a rope tied to a pole in the front yard. It ran in circles barking and got tangled like a tetherball. I was always pleased when it got loose. It ran across the street into the woods, and disappeared for hours. I’m sure it was trailing deer and quail, and was as happy as could be. It’s a tribute to dogs that it even bothered to come home to those a-holes.

neighbors doxxenRat. Fixed.

I've been bit 3 times in My 65+ years: 5 years old by neighbors German Shepherd on right arm while I was in My sandbox in My yard, he was eating his dinner in his yard and I looked at him and he was headed for My face and I blocked him with My arm. I guess he thought I was going to steal his food. Still have the 1 tooth hole scar at My elbow.

By My Doberman when I pulled him out from under the car that ran over him and when he came back to consciousness he bit My hand.

A friends Dog that I had known for years and I was laying on My Fiancé's lap on the floor at their house and She was in Her period. He came over and clamped down on My nose. I pried him off and the only reason I didn't snap his neck was I knew why he did it.

Other than Razor Tooth Puppy bites while playing with them that's it. I still have owned dozens of Dogs over the years. Big ones Dobies/Cane Corso Mastiffs, Sheppards. 99% of little Dogs have what I call the "Napoleon/hitler syndrome" because they are so small.

Give Me a Dog over 98% of humans any day.

And all going to the 15,000 year bond with humanity.   It's no doubt that dogs helped mankind survive.   No master and slave relationship but a mutual benefit for Canis familiaris and Homo sapiens alike.

Human–canine bond
Canines are capable of discriminating between positive and negative human facial expressions and will react accordingly.

I have never had a problem with any dog, even strays on the street because I know I will not have a problem and the dog understands that.

It also helps to have grown up on a farm where my family at one time had 23 boxer dogs (multiple litters) that began from one mother dog named Candy.

About ten years ago, I friended on Facebook a girl who was a few grades ahead of me at the small rural school we attended.   I posted something about all of the dogs we had and she shocked me when she replied her family had gotten their Boxer from us and it was her best friend growing up.

You wife was probably right to be concerned. I remember some people that had a boxer. Their kids taught it to bounce on the trampoline with them, and sometimes when they wee in school, the dog would just go out and have a good ol’ time bouncing by itself.

The HOA would take no action.

Not up to the HOA. It’s up to the police. Sue the dog owners. If you have documentation, you’ll have no problems.

Dog ownership is an extension of Man’s desire to control other living things. It is why slavery exists. Owning a dog satisfies this desire, it’s almost euphoric for the slave master to have a living being completely subservient to him, and follow his every command. Even the slave here will protect the master with violence.

The slave Master will also chase down any ‘runaway’ dog, just as they would their human slaves, if it were 1850. Just as with human slaves, the dog ‘Master’ has various keeps for his slave, where it can be a muddy pit in the fenced in back yard, or the typical ‘House Dog (slave)’ living indoors similar to a servant.

How many slave owners follow their slaves around with a baggie to pick up their poop?....or buy them toys and treats.....or take them along on fun outtings so that they too can enjoy them....or pet them and play with them and show them love and affection every day? I do all the above for my little buddy. He makes me happy and he seems to be happy himself so who's to complain?

I’ve had to fight for my life against groups of blacks

Where I’m from everyone knows a woman usually blonde raped by one or several of them or someone who’s had home invasions or car jacking by them

They vote stupid and are easily misled by hucksters who talk good and that has made them pivotal to urban precincts in purple states where they are crucial to the left stealing elections with fraud and mail in stuffing

Every city they control is corrupt and dangerous

They rarely raise their kids any more

Their cultural impact has been generally corrosive and then some

But do I hate all of them?

No I make exceptions for those who are decent

You could apply that here

I can’t say I’m shocked to see this forum has a fair number of dog haters or at best ambivalent
