It sounds like the Democrats are getting desperate now when it comes to former president Donald Trump.
Not only does he continue to hold a massive lead in the Republican primary, but some recent polls show him tying or beating Joe Biden. I wrote about the Harvard/Harris poll that had Trump up by five points and there was NY Times/Sienna poll that has them tied. The RealClear Politics average as of Wednesday, Aug. 2, is Biden, by the slimmest of margins, at +0.9, and given how the polls seem to always be skewed toward Democrats, that’s looking like a win to me there.

That has to make the Democrats nervous. They thought they could put hide Joe Biden in the basement and Trump would be buried under lawfare at this point. But it’s not working out exactly as they thought. Every indictment or legal move they pull out of their hat, his numbers seem to go up.
Now there’s word that they’re trying to bring in their big gun, Barack Obama, to try to help Joe Biden.
A new Washington Post report reveals that Obama met with Biden earlier this summer to talk about Trump’s strengths including “an intensely loyal following, a Trump-friendly conservative media ecosystem and a polarized country — underlining his worry that Trump could be a more formidable candidate than many Democrats realize.”
At the lunch, held in late June at the White House residence, Obama promised to do all he could to help the president get reelected, according to two people familiar with the meeting, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversation.
That commitment was a welcome gesture for the White House at a time when Biden is eager to lock down promises of help from top Democrats, among whom Obama is easily the biggest star, for what is likely to be a hard-fought reelection race. The contents of the private conversation have not been previously reported.
There’s definitely some spin in that report with the claim that “Obama made it clear his concerns were not about Biden’s political abilities, but rather a recognition of Trump’s iron grip on the Republican Party, according to the people.” Either Obama is spinning to Biden or that’s the WaPo trying to cover for Biden’s deficiencies.
Either way, Obama knows that they have a lot to fear in a race with Trump and there’s a big problem with Biden. Heck, that was allegedly why he held back on him, to begin with, about being the nominee in 2020, allegedly telling another Democrat, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f… things up.” He also said in terms of who could carry the electorate in Iowa, “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden,” he reportedly said. That proved to be quite true, Biden bombed in Iowa.
Obama is expected to “begin fundraising for Biden in the fall.”
As he left the White House after the lunch in June, Obama completed his first task to help Biden’s reelection campaign: filming a short video to help the president with online fundraising.
“Giving five or 10 bucks — whatever you can — to Joe Biden’s campaign makes a real difference,” Obama says in the video. “Let me tell you why, from a guy who’s won a couple of these. Donations from grass-roots supporters like you made up the majority of Joe’s campaign revenue last time.”
But if they’re also resorting to the Obama gambit at this point, you know that they have to be worried.
Could that be why we’re also seeing a flurry of legal actions against Trump? Every time there is a big move/revelation in the Biden scandal, somehow there also seems to be something dropped against Trump.
But Obama can only do so much at this point with what he has. They can’t hide Joe in the basement this time, and the scandals are going to continue to unfold.

On a brighter note, if they are indeed really that concerned, it might indicate the fraud machine isn’t what they hope it is.
If fraud alone can keep Trump from getting elected, they would not be so concerned about him.
Something about all this has them unsettled.
Maybe it’s also the realization that they do not have the people in their pocket like they had hoped or thought and are concerned about what would happen if they stole another election. The natives do seem to be getting restless.

All Obama is doing is coordinating the “Donation In Kind” activities of the Federal prosecutors across the US. They are using lawfare tactics outside reporting requirements of the Presidential campaign. Every one of these prosecutors is working to take down President Trump to effectively “win” the election. These lawyers are in effect donating taxpayer’s money towards the execution of taking out a political opponent! They are doing this without having to report any of their financial activities. Obama is just reporting to Biden the status of the lawfare campaign.

I agree, but remember, it is not ‘voters’, it is votes.
Biden received 81 million VOTES in 2023 from maybe 60 million voters. I think it is reasonable to assume that Biden (or whoever is the Democrat on the ballot) will get as many as 100 million votes if needed.
Let the coverup continue.
