Judge orders Biden to stop censoring Real Americans

Shreveport, Louisiana, had the most explosive fireworks on Independence Day when Judge Terry A. Doughty blew up the federal government’s censorship of conservatives on social media. Trump appointed him in 2018 and Doughty is now the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, based in Shreveport.

The attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri sued to stop federal agents from coercing social media to censor conservatives or anyone else who dared criticize our government. The deep state cited an extra-constitutional power to fight misinformation and disinformation but the biggest spreaders of lies are the FBI, CIA and the rest of the federal government.

Covid was not a pandemic.

The vaccine was not a vaccine.

Hunter’s laptop was not a Russian hoax.

Because the feds got social media outlets to serve as surrogate censors, Judge Doughty issued an injunction forbidding the feds from talking to the people who run social media. He did so on the Fourth of July because fighting the evil of government censorship is embedded in the birth of a free America.

Sandy Cortez tweeted on Independence Day that if Elon Musk doesn’t ban parody accounts on Twitter that government should ban them. That’s an Independence Day post from a U.S. Congressman. The herd needs to be culled.

Ever notice how conservatives seek constitutional clarification while the Marxist/liberal/democrats go for the workaround?

From the Conclusion to the ruling (footnotes deleted for continuity’s sake):

V . CONCLUSION
Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one place to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.
Harry S. Truman

The Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits in establishing that the Government has used its power to silence the opposition. Opposition to COVID-19 vaccines; opposition to COVID-19 masking and lockdowns; opposition to the lab-leak theory of COVID-19; opposition to the validity of the 2020 election; opposition to President Biden’s policies; statements that the Hunter Biden laptop story was true; and opposition to policies of the government officials in power. All were suppressed.

It is quite telling that each example or category of suppressed speech was conservative in nature. This targeted suppression of conservative ideas is a perfect example of viewpoint discrimination of political speech. American citizens have the right to engage in free debate about the significant issues affecting the country.

Although this case is still relatively young, and at this stage the Court is only examining it in terms of Plaintiffs’ likelihood of success on the merits, the evidence produced thus far depicts an almost dystopian scenario. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.”
__________

This may be the most important First Amendment case of our time. Reading (and, yes, mostly skimming the legal jargon and precedents) this ruling gives you the feeling that the Biden Admin used 1984 as an instruction manual.

This judge is SCOTUS material in his thinking and clear-sighted ruling.

He doesn’t need to. The Left doesn’t need to conspire, because they’re all on the same page already. Say and do anything for power, crush and eliminate anyone who gets in the way of their total control. Doesn’t require much discussion on how or why. They just do it.

Here is a lecture by Dr. Shiva on the corrupt government censorship alliance to destroy our First Amendment rights. Shiva and his brilliant mind have a marvelous way of explaining things in clear understandable terms. If you take the time to listen, you will come away with a new understanding of the incestuous relationships between Congress, the Silicon Valley Cabal, CISA, and why this case is so important. The attorney generals who brought this suit need to get Shiva on their legal team.

Mr. Niteowl77’s Rule of the Thirds:

One third of the population will do the right thing; one third of the population will do the wrong thing; the remaining third will do whatever the more convincing (or coercing) of the two other thirds tells them to do.

The larger the bureaucracy, the less thought it gives to destroying your life or your family.

In rare Independence Day ruling, federal judge forbids federal agencies from contacting social media sites to censor posts

This is a huge victory for free speech, though it must be kept in mind that the injunction issued by US District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty is a preliminary injunction that almost certainly will be appealed and will take a long time to be finally decided, perhaps by the Supreme Court eventually. I expect there will be fierce attacks on the ruling, and on Judge Doughty, who is a Trump appointee (thank-you, Mitch McConnell). Judge Doughty’s nomination was confirmed by a vote of 98 – 0 on March 1, 2018.

The ruling by Judge Doughty is 135 pages long, and will take more time to analyze thoroughly, but as a first take, the following excerpts (impressive to me) are worth bearing in mind. (Footnotes are omitted)

INTRODUCTION (pp. 2-3)

I may disapprove of what you say, but I would defend to the death your right to say it.
Evelyn Beatrice Hill, 1906, The Friends of Voltaire

This case is about the Free Speech Clause in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The explosion of social-media platforms has resulted in unique free speech issues— this is especially true in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history. In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech.

Although the censorship alleged in this case almost exclusively targeted conservative speech, the issues raised herein go beyond party lines. The right to free speech is not a member of any political party and does not hold any political ideology.

The Biggest Threat To Democracy Is Media Hysterics About ‘Threats To Democracy’
The Federalist ^ | JUNE 21, 2023 | EVITA DUFFY-ALFONSO
Posted on 7/5/2023, 7:48:26 AM by Alas Babylon!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a threat to your health — and our democracy,” reads the headline of a recent Los Angeles Times column.

Using the phrase “threat to democracy” as a way of protecting Democrats ahead of a presidential election is a media tradition at this point. Recall how the press promulgated the FBI-contrived Russia-collusion hoax, claiming former President Donald Trump was a “threat to democracy” in order to interfere in the 2016 election and discredit the Trump presidency after he was elected. Today, the media is still trying to thwart a Trump presidency by praising Biden for prosecuting his most probable 2024 opponent in, of course, the name of “democracy.”

For the propaganda press, “democracy” no longer means a form of government. It means the suppression of anything that threatens the left’s agenda or their candidates. Just a few examples of what the media considered a “threat to democracy” include Trump, half of the U.S. population, Ron DeSantis, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, lawfully conducted elections, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, poll watchers, Elon Musk, parents at school board meetings, pro-lifers, our bicameral legislature, free speech, and democracy itself.
