Justice Department special counsel John Durham testified on his investigation of “Crossfire Hurricane,” the code name for the FBI’s investigation of links between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russian operatives on Wednesday.
Rep. Matt Gaetz grilled Durham in a heated exchange, saying Durham “let the country down.”

FOX, Barr, Lindsey Graham, & Hannity have been claiming for years that Durham was going to drop the hammer.
They all lied because if you believe something is being done, the issue drops into the background.

Durham's job was to obfuscate and keep the fbi's role as the epicenter of the coup, in the shadows.
We know what happened.
The Deep State / Demonrats know that we know and they don't care.
They are in power and nothing will be done.
It's in your face, now.
"Yeah, so what? What are ya' gonna do about it?"

Durham’s report was supposed to be just that, a report. He was not asked to make recommendations for indictments.
There is nothing that says you can’t indict people from his report, based on the crimes he’s revealed!

I know! I know! It’s because Durham let the statue of limitations run and the worst miscreants are retired and not subject to impeachment

Today, for the first time, the broader American public met the face of the four-year investigation into the origin of the Trump-Russia hoax. Special Counsel John Durham testified before the House Judiciary Committee.
What a larger audience is now recognizing is what people on these pages have been discussing for quite some time. John Durham was/is the institutional preservation officer hired by Bill Barr to carefully navigate the corruption of the DOJ and FBI without actually holding anyone accountable for the corruption within the DOJ and FBI. Put succinctly, Bill Barr was the Bondo application and John Durham was the spray paint.
The rotting and corrupt carcass of our justice system is what remains hidden underneath the efforts of Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham. This is their legacy. Congressman Tom McClintock asks high-brow questions of John Durham, WATCH:

I watched a couple of the Durham clips, including the exchange with Matt Gaetz. In his rebuttal, Durham stressed that he was forced to follow the law and the U.S. Constitution when conducting the investigation. My response to him is:
Mr. Durham, who at the FBI and DOJ abided by the laws of the country, and the U.S. Constitution during the inception and running of Crossfire Hurricane, and the resulting Mueller Report? You didn't apply the same rules and laws of accountability to the FBI and DOJ that you claim you are required to use when conducting all criminal investigations. Somehow you left that part out of your job duties these past 3+ years.

Yeah, but Trump broke laws when he declassified documents and took them to Mar-a-largo, right? Not. Like I have said a hundred times...I am just disgusted by all of this and if Trump is not the nominee on the 2024 ballot, I will not be voting. Why? Because I know my vote will not count.

Durham seems to think that the FBI with all the issues at the top that he demonstrates can reform itself. They are corrupt through and through. From the very top to the bottom. Yes there may be some unimportant people who are fine. But remember they are not the ones who would or have reformed the department. The FBI is a very corrupt political organization. And that is from the top down as far as it matters.
Well said.
Interesting. If a police officer or group of them, beat someone up and violate their rights, they can be charged with civil rights abuses by the DOJ. FBI will conduct the investigation and there is a Civil Rights Office in each major office. If there are other police officers there, even if they don’t participate in the assault but, also, do nothing to stop the beating, they too will be charged with the same civil rights charges.
Kind of like the getaway driver being charged with the bank robbery, etc.
Well, we have an agency that is patently and blatantly corrupt. It may just be the ‘hand picked’ enforcers that work in the Washington Field Office, some SAICs and the folks on the top floor, but the FBI is corrupt to the core. And yet, none come forward other than the 3 whistleblowers that both the FBI and the Democrats tried to spin as disgruntled employees. Perhaps there’s more going on behind the scenes, but from the looks of it, it doesn’t appear as though their testimony did all that much.
So, I would argue that every FBI agent who is aware of the corruption and abuse, who keeps their mouth shut, is no different than the cop that stands there and watches someone get beat up by fellow officers and does nothing.
And for that, the whole thing needs to come down. Sorry. Folks lose their jobs all the time. Businesses go under all the time.
On another note, when Musk got Twitter so many were ecstatic. Many on here. Free Speech. Transparency. No more secrets. I think he, his Twitter ownership, his spaceships and his cars are all bullsh*t.
He gave access to some files showing collusion between the people at Twitter, the FBI, DHS, and CIA. Well, the FBI, DHS and CIA are things. They are not people. Interesting that he doesn’t name any names. The FBI held a meeting with Twitter staff demanding that ???? be censored. I didn’t know an inanimate thing could attend a meeting. Who in the FBI attended the meeting? Who in the FBI demanded censorship?
Without knowing any of that, he’s nothing but the snake-oil salesman he is.

Playing Devils Advocate....
Is there a chance, and we’ll never know nor will Durham every admit it, that he compiled all the information he could and threw it all in McCarthy’s lap, so Congress could handle it?
If he does, the Left will destroy him and he knows it. Cowardly? Absolutely. But one has to wonder. The Left is a desperate bunch and folks getting shot at softball practice was a real thing.
So, he compiled the case file, has as much evidence as he could come up with and then drops the file on the Republican’s lap and says...Here ya go. Here’s everything you need to start to unravel the entire thing. The ball is in your court now?
Because you know damned well, that if the Dem’s controlled the House and had all that evidence, stuff they don’t have to make up, they’d already have carpenters building the gallows.

If we had an actual leader in the House (someone like Trump), the entire government would be defunded until the border was secured and the FBI and intelligence agencies were reformed.
If that isn’t being advocated in the House, then the Republicans are not serious.
It’s all Kobuki theater.
