I’ve had some personal experiences, too. I’ve been taking 2,000iu vit. D daily (with some fat and a vit. K2) since Oct. 2020. I’ve had a few tests since then just to be sure that I wasn’t overdoing it. My dr. advised, “Maybe cut back on the vit. D. It’s running a little high.” I’ve always come in at squarely 50ng/ml. That’s not even close to ‘high’.
It’s terrible to not be able to value one’s dr’s opinion/advice.

It is terrible, but keep in mind that it’s VERY UNLIKELY that any advice given to you by a doctor is actually from the doctor, rather than from his controllers (employer, hospital, insurance carrier, etc.), and if the doctor disagrees, well, tough, the doctor better stay in line, as we saw during Covid.

Or ‘parent’. Either way, I agree, but I wouldn’t clear the hospital from mutilating the kid by saying they were “just following orders” (of a sick mother, or sick parents). We didn’t allow that defense when the Nazis did the same experiments on children during WW2, and neither should we allow it today.
Here is the problem: The best way she and others can win this case is by appealing to the bans and new laws in European nations like the UK and the Scandinavian countries.
But then you are gonna have conservatives freaking out about using European rules and laws as evidence in an American court.
So you are gonna have to decide which route to take.

The doctors no doubt told the parents “Wouldn’t you rather have a live son than a dead daughter?” Told them how there is no other option than to medically transition, how successful it is (”Look at the Jenner family...”)
