It may be a while before you see Tucker Carlson unleashed on a TV near you. You also may never hear the full truth regarding his falling out with FOX News.
Breitbart dropped a bombshell report on Thursday revealing that Fox News is scheming to keep Tucker off the air through the 2024 election.
Breitbart also revealed this pertinent piece of information: Tucker remains under contract with the network through 2024 despite losing his TV Show. This confirms Megyn Kelly’s comments yesterday that Tucker was never officially fired from FOX News.
Former Top Fox News host and insider Megyn Kelly reveals Tucker not actually FIRED from Fox yet— This is what's REALLY happening…

— Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) April 27, 2023 Tucker at the moment is attempting to negotiate an exit package with FOX News to officially let him go. The progress regarding these negotiations is not known at this time.
But even if a separation agreement is reached, Tucker will be prevented from ever saying a cross word about the way Fox News has treated him.
So much for “standing up for what’s right,” the phrase Fox News uses when promoting its primetime lineup.
Breitbart reported:
Fox News is trying to sideline former Tucker Carlson Tonight host Tucker Carlson through the 2024 election, multiple sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News.
Carlson’s current contract runs through December 2024, and as of now three sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that executives at the network are trying to keep Carlson on contract and not release him until after the 2024 election. The shocking decision to cancel Carlson’s top-rated weeknight program came just days after the network shut down its top-rated weekend program with host Dan Bongino. What follows here is an insider account from people actually in the know after Breitbart News spent the past several days interviewing key players in the personnel matters at Fox News, asking what really happened.

The only thing Hannity cares about is his bank account. Is he still sleeping with the weather girl he left his family for?
Hope they don’t succeed; but the MAGA people should have replacements ready when their fighters are taken out.
Well maybe the Supreme Court leaker could leak details for tucker.... the fbi can’t seem to find the sc leaker.
Fox News or was it the government telling fox what to do? Our tax dollars will end up going to fox in some way to make up for the money they lost firing Tucker
Fox has lost 1/2 it’s audience supposedly- but 2/3 wouod be even better
Tucker should say whatever he wants. What are they gonna do, fire him?
Carlson has to negotiate an end of the contract, or cork himself until it expires at the end of next year.
Fox has, in hand, a commitment on Carlson’s part to remain effectively silent on all topics relating to what Fox hired him to opine on. Which was pretty much everything.
He can speak in generalities but will want to avoid specifics so as not to give Fox a predicate on which to base a lawsuit.
They will sue him and thereby utterly break him financially.
Assuming he owns anything.
Tucker Carlson, private citizen, having a forum on Twitter that reaches 20 million people does not need to criticize Fox News or even mention their name.
If he wants his payout (and I imagine he does), it’s perfectly fair to have him sign a non-disparagement agreement.
It’s probably illegal to say he can’t speak in public about politics.
Fox will always have a right to sue if they conclude based on competent legal advice that Carlson has acted in such a way as to violate his employment contract and thereby give them sufficient substantive grounds for suit.
Twitter spaces is not a cable or broadcast outlet.
There is no "TV near me."
I stopped watching years ago when I cut my cable for once and for all time. I don't care what TV show Tucker is "unleashed" on in the future, because I won't be watching anyhow. I won't be able to watch even if I wanted to.
Now through all this time of being without TV, I was still able to get clips of Tucker through Twitter, YouTube, and other social media (like here on Free Republic).
So I'm not really missing out. I'm just not subsidizing people who hate me.
Tucker's two minute monologue on Twitter the other night went on to gain 200 million views. That's magnitudes more people he reached than when he was yapping on the backwater Fox News network.
The future is with "do-it-yourself" monetized content creation. Many podcasters and such are making good livings producing their own content and saying whatever they want to say. You don't need a big fancy studio in New York City anymore to reach millions of people. The barrier of entry is such that you or I could start our own show tomorrow and start building an audience immediately.
Mr. Potato Head? Mr. FBI?
Are you serious?
His attorney is no zealot and will advise him to negotiate, settle on the best terms possible, commit to a non-disparagement arrangement, and move on with his life.
The pending employment agreement surely covers all forms of digital and print media.
That is pretty hard to do to a person that is worth 400 to 500 million dollars and could hire an army of lawyers himself.
“It’s probably illegal to say he can’t speak in public about politics.”
A broad, potentially unconscionable contract term like that in a proposed settlement agreement would probably not survive attorney edits.
Carlson is intelligent and will not want to expose himself to potentially years of litigation expenses plus the possibility of a negative judgment at the end of trial potentially exceeding $100 million.
No one can take Carlson's free speech rights away from him; they can only limit his getting paid for speaking. Tucker can still squirrel away a following by doing interviews, making public comments. The question is how effective the pointless media can be in making sure Tucker's voice remains muted in the public 'ear'!
