BREAKING: Megyn Kelly Gives Insider Information That Fox News Has Trapped Tucker Carlson In His Contract
American Tribune ^ | April 28, 2023 | Staff

Inside sources at Fox News have leaked rumors that, despite being dropped from the network as of this past Monday, Tucker Carlson is still beholden to a contract that would prevent him from undertaking a new media venture until after the 2024 presidential election.

Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who now hosts her own podcast on Sirius XM, reported on information allegedly coming out of the collapsing “conservative” media company indicating Carlson has yet to reach terms of a complete exit from his contract.

“I want to, I think, break some news for you,” Kelly began on her show. “Tucker Carlson hasn’t actually been fired. He’s still an employee of the Fox News Channel. What happened was Suzanne Scott called him she’s the CEO on Monday morning and said he was not going to be allowed to do any more shows, and that he had been kicked out of his company email.”

“And now they’re going to have to negotiate an exit. Some reporting to me, suggests that, she said it’s going to be an amicable parting. Right, isn’t it?” she continued.

“I’m completely catching Tucker, off guard. But Tucker is not fired. That’s my information, that he still needs to negotiate the exit. And that right now he’s not free to launch a podcast or a digital show or negotiate with other employers at all. Because he’s still under contract,” she suggested for a second time.

Take a look at the clip below.

At this point for Carlson, the proverbial sky is truly the limit for the former host of cable television’s hottest broadcast. Carlson regularly drew over three million nightly viewers and crushed the competition at CNN and MSNBC. While he will no doubt court offers from the likes of OANN and Newsmax, his own viral Twitter video likely proves he has enough name-brand recognition and following to strike out on his own.

In truly epic fashion, Carlson released a video – the first public response offered since the shocking news of his Fox cancellation – which garnered tens of millions of views almost instantly. People want to hear what Tucker Carlson has to say. And by extension, they will no doubt pay for it.

Carlson could branch out on his own and follow in the steps of Megyn Kelly, for example. He could also field offers from other conservative media outlets, but just as with Fox the possibility of being constrained would no doubt loom over him.

Kelly had a lot more to say on her show, as she addressed speculations about why Fox would let their top host go and also addressed the troubles with filling his massive shoes.

“It’ll be interesting to see what the ratings were for the APM hour last night, Brian Kilmeade hosted it. It’s a rotating cast for now,” Kelly noted on her podcast. “And we’ll see what they decide to do their stuff, Brian’s fault. I mean, here’s Brian, FYI, here. Here he is, in a moment where he is kind of acknowledging what happened. I’ll just play the 14 seconds.”

“Hi, everybody, and welcome to Fox News tonight. I am Brian Kilmeade. As you probably have heard, Fox News and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. I wish Tucker the best. I’m great friends with Tucker, and always will be,” the fill-in host can be heard saying.

Can’t be that complicated as when this was drawn up none of this BS was happening and Fox expected him to be around a good while..Like I said once the Lawyers get involved it can be gotten out of.

Somebody that may own a lot of shares in FOX should sue them to high heaven for violating their fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders for political destruction of their enemies, and FOX’s losses for doing this to Tucker should also be considered a donation to the DNC.

As long as they keep paying him the full amount of his contract then they can probably still enforce the noncompete. I am sure it was a carefully lawyered contract on both sides. I think the only question is whether Fox is in breach by keeping him off the air, but still paying him to do nothing.

The guy is worth $400 million or so. Tell them to keep their money. He can make just as much elsewhere.

he still needs to negotiate the exit

Of course, he will have to notify them that they can stop the payments to him and he is free to go and do anything he wants.

Fox might want to drag out his release for a bit and wait for conservative news cycle to move on to other things.

Also Trump should hire Tucker right now to travel with him to do his show live at all of his campaign stops. Give him an hour to warm up the crowds. Big screens to show his slides and videos, have live interviews etc. Political campaigning could be a way around their contract.

That is why the stupid remark by Rupert Murdoch is so significant. Tucker evidently called this woman a c—t in a private email and it is these stupid types of remarks that they are using to silence him. So, now Tucker has some real ammunition to fire back because Tucker didn’t even make the ‘spiritual’ remarks on Fox. He made them in a speech to the Heritage foundation. They can complain all they want about the names Tucker calls them, but they can’t complain about his religion.

Wasn’t Kelly fired for some remark she made, or complaint she made about Matt Lauer? She got a ton of money, but they silenced her, too.

It seems to me that FOX is negligent by failing to provide content (Tucker Carlson Tonight) to the millions of viewers who paid cable fees explicitly to watch that broadcast! Seems that an enterprising lawyer might be by interested in class action lawsuit?

Fox News has been nothing more than a supporting role act cast in the broader spectrum of state controlled media outlets. Sort of like a good cop / bad cop act, only involving news media. Good network / Bad network act.

They all report to the same masters who play the public as easily influenced idiots. If you can convince the public that eight year old boys can be girls, electric vehicles use zero carbon energy, the weather and sun can be controlled if you don't use gas appliances, experimental vaccines that don't provide immunity or prwvent transmission is fine to jab you with, American virus labs in third world war torn countries doing illegal research is no big deal, printing more money to spend more money you don't have is more responsible government policy than reducing what you spend, an inflation reduction bill reduces inflation, armed robbery is a misdemeanor, carjacking is Hyundai 's fault, men use tampons, .......oh I could go on forever.

All those stories are wholly reported and supported by our news media. Any commentary questioning these things can get you punishment. I won't even get into Covid Mandates insanity.

Blackrock managed to get their hands on 15% of stock in Fox, Blackrock who has major shares in our military industrial complex, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, AND HUGE ownership in Pfizer!! BLACKROCK is destroying this country AND along with Schumer Blackrock was a MAJOR force in having Tucker removed!! MORE of our red states need to remove their state pension funds from Blackrock investments!! I believe that FL. and TX. have done this HOWEVER to many of our governors are globalists and NOT America first!!

Everyone knows these media figgers are bound by contracts, they’re never “fired” until the contract terms are negotiated. The Murdorks have a lot of exposure for damage if this is not resolved quickly, especially if they want to sell the company at a high valuation, which will become increasingly unlikely as uncertainty, rumor and innuendo erode the confidence of potential buyers.

Just break the contract and make the 40 million elsewhere.

Apparently, there are all types of termination, resignation rules for each company.

We know a fellow in his mid 50’s, who resigned from his 25+ year job on 1 Jan 2023.

He got health care and other benefits for 90 days (up to 1 May, 2003). From his former employer, if he didn’t sign up with any competitors.

He will start his new job on 1 May next week.

I’m doubting the strength of Fox’s supposed argument that they can fire him without cause and prevent him from working. I think the legal wrangling will be about whether he takes the money left on his contract and doesn’t work and doesn’t talk or that he forgos his contract money due and says screw it and speaks very loudly.

He was getting paid $20 million a year. I suppose they could continue to pay that for the rest of his contract period to try and keep him on the bench and silent through a noncompete... if has one.

My business wound up in a big (for us) lawsuit over a similar situation.
