Florida Governor Ron DeSantis released a statement after a Manhattan Grand Jury indicted former President Donald J. Trump on Thursday.
Former President Donald Trump, on March 18, said he would be arrested in the coming days for payments he allegedly made to stripper Stormy Daniels.

Well he can order Florida law enforcement to arrest every damn Fed who trespasses in the state of Florida.
Would be fun to watch.
That’s an excellent response by DeSantis and light years ahead of his initial comments from a couple of weeks ago. Every Republican should see the weaponization of our Justice system as an intolerable and unprecedented act that cannot be without commensurate response. Today it’s Trump. Tomorrow it’s every other Republican seeking or holding office if this isn’t fought.
Except it will not happen. There is ONE reason the proceedings are suspended until May.
There is no “there” there.
The judge will also issue a gag order so Trump cant defend himself publicly.
As far as I know, this is only an indictment. He has not been charged and that is up to the Justice Department.
Primary season is lit! /s
It isn’t like it hasn’t already happened before!
“ So… why doesn’t DeSantis mention Trump by name?”
You are not as easily swayed.
Ignore my reply. I was out of the news loop.
This is going to be bad for everyone but Trump.
Yes, but this outs the criminal-brown shirts of the thuggy Biden Administration. That might help wake up the brain-dead bimbos on the left.
Good on DeSantis for that.
Hopefully all the Republican governors will follow suit, and Trump can go on a however many state tour, and rub their face in it.
New York is gonna file charges against the governor of Florida?
MTG, please pick up the white courtesy phone...
FFS!
He saw how it went when he didn’t support Trump so now he’s changed his stripes? I don’t believe it.
It’s a stunt
Yep...
Yes… FFS why isn’t DeSantis, who supposedly claims he wants to save America, too - not taking a stronger stand? Especially when he can back it up?
Very glad to hear this.
I don’t see the difference between this and what he said last time.
Sounds like he’s staying out of it.
That’s nice.
I’m sure this won’t get worse and it will never affect him. Or us.
Because that’s the thing about tyranny. You can just put that little fire in your back pocket and forget about it. It’ll be fine.
Holy Smoke.
This will put the sauce on the FBI , US MArshals as well as the federal DOJ.
DeSantis is under no obligation to assist in political persecution. And he has announced he will not allow it.
