"Endorsed by Joe Scarborough!" -- Not something you're likely to see in any Ron DeSantis GOP presidential primary ads anytime soon.
But Scarborough did come close to doing that on today's Morning Joe.
Condemning Trump for what he described as his disregard for the rule of law, Scarborough addressed himself to Trump supporters, saying, "go to DeSantis." His notion was that DeSantis represents policies similar to Trump's without posing what Scarborough sees as Trump's threat to democracy.

The people who want DeSantis are the people who want Republicans to lose. Trump has the support of the people. No one else does. Promotion of DeSantis (by anyone) is disingenuous. It’s a pro-Democrat move.
THe left’s hatred of Trump knows no bounds, they would support Putin if he were running for POTUS and had any chance to defeat Trump.
Scarborough is only saying this because he sees DeSantis as a foil against Trump, who he hates with a passion. That is the only reason he would make such a statement. A lot of lefties are doing this lately.

If anything can be learned about the mid-terms it’s that there is a sizable part of the population who will vote to do interesting things with their naughty parts to their own economic detriment.
Roe vs Wade being overturned sank the Republicans in 2022. Not Trump, not Mitch. The drubbing was too thorough for blame to lie on one person alone.
The press will beat DeSantis like a drum if he’s nominated.

I disagree. Ballot harvesting, machine vote switching and "machine problems" in Republican areas of Maricopa County sank Republicans, who, by all accounts, aside from Kari, are doing NOTHING to fix the problem..
