Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is gearing up for a run for President. But today’s silence about New York’s prosecutorial abuse against President Trump is not helping him one bit.
President Trump is crushing all other candidates from either party in polls for the 2024 Presidential race.
Joe Biden is a disgrace and the most hated person to ever step into the White House. And this is before the upcoming economic meltdown.
President Trump is leading all GOP candidates for President and hopefuls. Many people believe Ron DeSantis should back President Trump to bring the party together. But DeSantis’s actions to date are the opposite.
DeSantis was silent about the illegal Mar-a-Lago raid by the corrupt DOJ. Many believe he knew about the raid ahead of time. He might have known about this garbage indictment announced yesterday for some time as well.
But rather than stand up to this obvious tyrannical and fascist injustice, DeSantis remains silent. This is a very poor political move.
DeSantis appears to be run by the GOP elites who hate President Trump because he wants policies that are America first. At least this is the message that is perceived by Trump supporters.
Now DeSantis remains silent at a time when our corrupt and criminal DOJ, which is quickly becoming the equivalent of the injustice departments of fascists in the past, attempts to arrest the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on literally made-up crimes.

Trump is relentlessly attacking and name-calling DeSantis, and Trump is upset that DeSantis won’t defend him?
Nothing has happened yet- its all speculation.
I will withhold judgement until the you know what hits the fan and then lets see where DeSantis goes.
To be fair, we should give Gov. DeSantis until after “it” happens to make a statement.
Does DeSantis care about Democrat abuse of power or not? I thought he was the “better man”?
Also, where’s Pence and Nikki Haley?
This is an outright attack and abuse of power on free men.
Trump needs DeSantis to defend him? Is that DeSantis’s job? I don’t get it.
DeSantis doesn’t need to comment on speculation. He would if they try to enter Florida to arrest him. For sure. DeSantis does not typically do rapid real time media response. He’s measured and comes with the facts when he does respond.
You are seeing a secondary goal of democrats on Trump strategy
Divide and conquer
Although Desantis has a lot smaller percentage so probably won’t work as well as they hope
One (maybe the only) favorable thing to be said about the democrats is that they sure do circle the wagons around an embattled member better than does our side!
Actually that’s the smart thing to do. For one thing Trump’s base isn’t going to vote for him if Trump is running. So trying to woo them is just wasted effort. And also there’s nothing to say that wouldn’t be spun, in both directions, and turn into a nightmare of having to “correct” the spin. Best to leave your opponent’s legal troubles alone. Go be governor. Do campaign stuff. Worry about your own stuff. Let your opponent sink or swim on his own.
Quote Trump saying he’s upset with DeSantis on his upcoming arrest.
If DeSantis thinks that this criminal cabal going after Trump will not go after him after they kill Trump, he is crazy. DeSantis has one way to presidency, that is to use Trump as a blocker.
I agree, why make a statement on something that has not happened yet? Prudence would be to hold. Once you say something you cannot take it back.
Trump shouldn’t have burnt that bridge so fast after all, huh.
Never Trump republicans are being this arrest. If there weren’t republican neo-cons trying to take him down this would not be happening. This is Lyndsey Graham et al. who are doing this.
His silence speaks words.
Trump’s “normal” is NY politics. FL is very different, as is my GA. I voted for Trump twice but his uber-ego is very off-putting to me. I’ll vote for the eventual R-nominee but Trump’s antics aren’t helping him.
It sure does.
