According to the NY Times, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell had been under observation since suffering a concussion during a fall on Wednesday. He also has a “minor rib fracture,” his office said. He’s off to rehab and rumor has it that he might never return.
Mitch McConnell could be sidelined.
A spokesman, David Popp, said that the lawmaker’s “concussion recovery is proceeding well” and that Mr. McConnell, 81, had been discharged from George Washington University Hospital, where he was taken after the accident at the Waldorf Astoria on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
“At the advice of his physician,” Mr. Popp added in a statement, “the next step will be a period of physical therapy at an inpatient rehabilitation facility before he returns home.”
D.C.. resident and radio host Chris Plante said on his radio show this morning that Mitch is in rehab and might never return to the Senate. That would be great news, but then, who replaces him?
We wish him good health and happiness, but not as a Senate leader.
Yes Yes Yes
“....his last speech was weak.”
As opposed to?
This sounds too good to be true.
This sounds too good to be true.
Oh no…anyways
Remember when both of his hands turned bright blue?

Blood thickness
He spoke like people who didn’t get the vaccine were dumb
“his skin color is very different and not healthy looking!
My wife was the head RN in a busy FP office. They inherited quite a few senior citizens patients after those patients’ doctor retired.
Most of these “new” patients were in pretty good shape. Often, their first bad health warning sign was what you noted above re their skin.
Their change in skin color and not being healthy looking was an early warning sign for the doctor, my wife and later their family members.
Thank you for the judges, now don’t let the door hit you on the way out ...
Just guessing this one's made in China.
He’s no Fetterman! ;)
Mitch finally found a gracious way to leave the Senate since he became such a rino.
He probably can't even find it on a map.
He helped Murkowski win. Murkowski voted against Republican
nominee Kavanaugh and for Democrat nominee Jackson.
Murkowski is in the Senate because McConnell helped her and she will be helping Democrats confirm judges for years.
I’m expecting both he and Fetterman returning to the Senate. Then again I’m a pessimist by nature.
Uh, just for a fall and a mild concussion?? Inpatient???
“Looks like the assault exercise machine takes out another Senator.”
I’ve been wondering about this. Did anyone actually SEE this accident?
I doubt Fetterman ever will, but Mitch might..............
Yep, I caught that word, too...................
Only problem with that, assuming he’s somewhat functional is even if he leaves the Senate, his wealth and power will continue to be an influence after he leaves. A behind the scenes kind of influence, which will probably continue along the lines of his increasing his, or his family’s wealth, which appears to be a negative to the American publics best interest.
