Ranjeev Puri, the majority leader within the Michigan House, issued a vulgar statement in the wake of the MSU shooting.

A prominent Democrat representative within the Michigan legislature attacked those who offered “thoughts and prayers” for those affected by the mass shooting at Michigan State University. Ranjeev Puri, the majority leader within the Michigan House, released an inflammatory statement Tuesday morning after a 43-year-old black man carried out a shooting on Michigan State University’s (MSU) campus, killing three students.
Puri began his statement by saying, “F**k your thoughts and prayers,” before echoing calls for gun control.
The Michigan rep. claimed that “going to school in America, whether its pre-school or college, means risking your life every day to the threat of a mass shooting.”
“Yet all we have offered up are empty solutions — traumatizing active shooter drills and bulletproof backpacks,” he added, failing to mention MSU’s campus was a gun-free zone.
The MSU shooter appears to be 43-year-old, Anthony McRae. MSU Police claimed McRae had no affiliation with the school and the shooter’s motive is unknown. “We can confirm that the 43-year-old suspect had no affiliation to the university. He was not a student, faculty, staff, current or previous,” MSU Police Deputy Chief Chris Rozman said in a Tuesday press conference.
“What we’re trying to understand is why this incident occurred. I know everybody wants to know what the motive is. We don’t have an answer right now. And that’s the honest truth,” Rozman added.
When confronted by police after an hours-long manhunt, McRae shot himself in the head, dying soon thereafter.
One political influencer, Robby Starbuck, claimed the suspected shooter was a convicted felon that illegally possessed the weapon used in the attack.
“Inconvenient reality for the gun control crowd: The MSU shooter was a convicted felon named Anthony McRae so it was illegal for him to have a gun at all. He did this with a handgun, not an AR-15. He was previously convicted for breaking a gun law. Criminals don’t follow gun laws,” Starbuck said in a tweet.
It’s always about disarming Americans. That’s the root of it, and it shall always be so it seems.
Ranjeev needs to repatriate to his home country.
I’m quite sure there are gun controls firmly in place there.
The right to infringe shall not be limited. /s
Doom on this turd.
The dude looks like the Hindu version of the jug-eared, magic negro Obama.
Eff your gun grabbing.
Stoke the fires of HELL...cuz this one's on his way!
I don’t approve of what this guy says and I think the government should step in and silence him. Remove his right to free speech. Shut him up. No more political opinions allowed from him please.
Unless, of course, there is some reason why such silencing is not allowed in this country.
Ranjeev needs big ‘ol cup of STFU. The fake outrage is so 1990’s.
Michigan must be a really F’d up state to have an idiot like this as their majority leader.
Not long ago at an antique store, I came across a few old Life magazines from the mid 1950s and one of them featured kids in northern Michigan going hunting and how that was a rite of passage for them. All of that was, of course, accompanied with basically no criminal or tragic misuse of firearms in schools. I wonder if Mr. Puri can enlighten us about what changed in that regard, in addition to his demand of “F##k your thoughts and prayers”?
F off back to your land of filth and raw sewage, Ramjeev.
Ranjeev should be pelted with rocks and garbage so much he thinks he’s back in Bombay ...
Sort of like the demon swearing at the priests in The Exorcist during the exorcism.
Most Hindus, ordinary Indian people, would never dream of saying such a thing.
Just another damned Indian Communist. I swear, for every Dinesh D’Souza we get ten of these slumdog Marxists.
Which “gun control law” would have prevented this shooting?
If Ranjeev meets up with some misfortune, then I will withhold my thoughts and prayers.
Still the same. Kids can get hunting licenses at age ten.
Must be accompanied by an adult when hunting.
Northern MI is like an entirely different state.
