PING!
Let this be a reminder to the corporations who think pandering to leftism is good for business. At least 1/2 of the country does not find wokism cool.
I would like to believe it was a case of “go woke and go broke.” But I think it came from other places as most people are not aware of political controversies like this or do not care or are a part of the problem. But, every time a company like this goes broke it is still gratifying to see.
The great thing about cases like this is that, for the most part, people on the Right don’t announce a boycott and organize and hype it, we just stop shopping there.
Bed Bath Beyond was in financial trouble before banning MY PILLOW.
The executives could have chosen to be MY PILLOW heroes by advertising that they were NOT going to ban MY PILLOW when the big box stores, Walmart, Costco, Target banned MY PILLOW.
Instead, BBY went the WOKE route and followed in lock step with the other big box stores.
Not that i am a huge fan of My Pillow products, i am NOT a fan of woke-ism. My 500-600 $ annual purchases of stuff, for weddings mostly, stopped cold several years ago. Multiply that times a hundred, or a thousand, and soon you’re talking real money gone from your bottom line. BB&B created its own recession before there was a recession.
Zero GAFs.
Cue Nelson’s laugh.
I know I didn’t step into a Bed, Bath and Beyond after they decided to stop carrying MyPillow merchandise.
had nothing to do with those pillows.
On the way out long before that happened.
Freudian slip?
I've had a few bad baths and beyond in my day.
Pretty sure they would have this result no matter what. Over-priced homewares.
Any business model that automatically alienates half your potential customer base is doomed to failure.
Thinking about a Go Woke! Go Broke! sign for my local BB@B.
Well, if you did nothings else, (by posting this), it is evident that you brought-out some angry trolls!
The problem I have with BB&B as well as other retailers is that their website lists products, then you find out that what you want isn’t in stock locally and you have to order them. Why bother?
