Not sure about the story but I am certain China is bad—they’re a bunch of commies.
I don’t like commies and I don’t care what anyone thinks of my opinion.
I really don’t understand why China found it necessary to send over a spy balloon when they have the man they bought and paid for sitting in the White House. After all, Biden is the man who has left our borders completely open to anyone, including the entire Chinese army, to cross at will. Biden is the man who has shipped most of our military equipment to Ukraine. Biden is the man who has deliberately unleashed a crime wave and social chaos designed to weaken the country. The Chinese couldn’t ask for more.
It likely had to travel twice as far to get to that point.
That puts launch somewhere in the week of Jan. 14. The Chinese failed to forecast the polar lobe breakout that just gave the Northeast the deepest cold they will see of this winter.
That lobe, in turn, held up the balloon's progress, which was likely meant to quickly transit (had the polar vortex held together) the northern border with just enough of an angle to do the ground-penetration radar studies.
The unexpected frigid weather at those heights contributed to the balloon sinking into the air lanes and within easy view of any iPhone.
Stinken Blinken was scheduled to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Feb. 5 and 6. Had the balloon skirted transited a week earlier, as likely intended, at the expected stratospheric height, it may have passed unnoticed by the public.
It was a spy balloon masquerading as a weather balloon, in order to ground-radar Minuteman sites, but it was not intended to disrupt Blinken's kow-tow.
Now it has wrong-footed China when Xi had actually scripted a surprise meeting with Blinken. Shit may hit the fan. Can't wait.
If altitude can be controlled, why didn’t we just demand they land it?
Well we got a bunch of Commies in DC, too.
It was a test to see how far they could go.
Now they know.
Secret Agent Double-Oh Brandon will let them do whatever they want.
Yes we do.

Ever heard of the Hindenburg? How do you think it reached N.J?
I’m sure See-BS news will give their faithful servants everything they need to hear Monday morning.

Google wants all balloons.
These guys carry Chicom water.
If the Chinese were as clever as they think they are, they’d have disguised their balloons as Bullwinkle and Rocky.
(Biden and Trump balloons would have been good too).
Why use a balloon when they have spy satellites? A couple of reasons. 1) satellites have a known flight path and when it will be overhead. A balloon can be there for hours or days if they manage to steer out of the jet stream. 2) and most important, Biden shows he is owned by the Chicoms and only shoots it down AFTER it leaves the US mainland and has accomplished it’s mission, and with permission from the Chicoms, of course.
The story about not wanting to shoot it down over land because they didn’t want to cause damage to property on the ground is bullsh*t. It first entered US airspace over the Aleutian Islands or later when it was over Montana and IIRC, there is practically nothing in the Aleutians and Montana is pretty much wide open.
This administration reels of indecision, incompetence, corruption, and weakness.
“buying America from the Bidens.”
Truer than all or the replies seen today!
“Good on yer”
As it becomes clear the Russians are turning the tide in Ukraine and ultimately will end up with an eastern and southern slice of the country at a minimum, the America is turning eyes to the next ‘shiny thing’ which is China. Our foreign policy has been continuous war either directly or through proxy for 80+ years (a case can made for 125 years) so we move to the next target. The multi-trillion dollar MIC will always get its payday.
Why would the Chinese both with such a low tech, Old World catagory of a stunt? Shadenfreude, perhaps.
The intense and gratifying satisfaction of causing someone already (apparently) under your thumb, international humiliation and inconveniance, so that there is no longer any doubt whose controlling whom. Kicking wet sand in the face of someone you already have Hog Tied on the floor.
it has been reported that the balloon has “minimal steering capability”. Maybe that is enough to move it in and out of the jet stream. Also, winds move at different speeds and directions at different altitudes.
