I took a bit of time to dissect the “spy balloon” story - both how it is portrayed in the US and China’s response. As you'll see, the more you think about it, the more stunned you get at the sheer absurdity of the whole thing.

Is there a basic summation of the data available?
Just asking the question.

Chicoms said they knew nothing about it and it was not theirs.

China was just doing their due diligence before they close the deal on buying America from the bidens.

I’ve never bought the story about Chinese balloon doing surveillance of sensitive sites. How can they steer it? Balloons go where ever the wind takes them.

China says it was not their balloon, they know nothing about it but they will be reprisals for shooting their balloon down.

Balloons can be steered. It’s already been reported the Chinese could control it.

Yeah.
They did later admit it came from there but was “civilian” and they didn’t know anything about it.
The constant lying in itself indicates this is of importance.
Chicoms know everything coming and going in their airspace.
They wouldn’t even let a balloonist pass over on an around the world flight.

Too my mind the balloon is a HUGE warning to We the People. We have enemies foreign AND domestic, and they proceed under cover of always-good intentions (which the simpleminded believe without reason).

Balloons can be steered. It’s already been reported the Chinese could control it. Balloons can be somewhat steered by changing altitudes to intercept winds that are blowing in slightly different directions. But they're still at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Knowing this may have North Korean orgins makes our government look even worse. No doubt, Kim had a front row seat staring at the monitors, indicating the lack of decisve action from Biden. He probably very near spilled his full bowl of Kimchee, laughing at the perplexed and befuddled American military.
To: jimtorr
How can they steer it? Balloons go where ever the wind takes them. Not anymore. The Chinese have developed AI for steering.
Google is also developing the technology.
To: AppyPappy
China says it was not their balloon, they know nothing about it but they will be reprisals for shooting their balloon down. That ownership is as confusing as Hunter's laptop. Sure, it has naked pictures of him time taking tons of drugs, but it's not his and he'll sue you for releasing his laptop.
