Former President Donald Trump called for the U.S. to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon that is currently over the central United States.
Trump made his comments in a Friday post on Truth Social, writing: “SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON.”

If we do this - and the US tried the same stunt (balloons over Russia) - we risk the CHICOMs blasting/blinding our spysats as they fly over China.
I would not shoot it down.
Go up and drag it down to get all the crap they have hanging under it.
Or puncture it so it drops down where we can grab it.
You all remember when the reds grabbed one of our planes and made such a big deal out of that back when GW Bush first started his term?

Uhh..that’s what happens when you shoot down a balloon.
We’re letting the Chinese simply maneuver this thing wherever they please around the US while we sit around doing nothing.

Actually, what I was wondering is if they could somehow line up a rocket launch at the balloon so that a Chinese satellite is also in the line of fire? Oops!

I heard that the reason we know it’s not a weather balloon is that we’ve known for weeks they were planning to do this.

If its just a weather balloon China should have no problem if we shoot it down and send them a bill for the cost of shooting it down.
Question: What if they had a nuke to detonate high in the air to burn out every computer we have? An EMP pulse could wreck us in one blast. How big would such a bomb need be? The power grid might be their target. We do nothing and they will send more.
