Joe Scarborough: Trump Vow To 'Handle' DeSantis 'Sounds Like A Mob Threat'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Is Don gonna make Ron an offer he can't refuse? Or maybe just cut to the chase and have him whacked?

That's what Joe Scarborough seemed to suggest on today's Morning Joe. Reacting to Trump having said that if Ron DeSantis runs against him, "we'll handle that the way I handle things," Scarborough said:

"Sounds like a mob threat."

Mini-MAGA is not going to run in ‘24. He has enough brains to see that is losing proposition. If he were to run in ‘24 he would quickly get all the WRONG friends.

As soon as Scarborough and all the other swampy GOPers ( Ryano etc ) jump on the Desantis train that wil derail same train immediately.

"...swampy GOPers ( Ryano etc )... "

Sounds like Trump.

Of TrumpRyanCare disaster fame. Thanks for the reminder of the first time The Delicate Don was on the wrong side of an issue and the HFC saved us from him.

Ron was a founding member of HFC. Trump is a repeat loser to them.

Trump admin filled the BigGovt/BigPharma swamp to the brim and beyond. He drained nothing. Turns out he is fine with swamps - as long as they let him steer and floor it to Warp Speed.

You think Ryano is going to endorse Trump? No way. But he ( Ryano ) would endorse Desantis which will kill his run right there. Desantis would be under the constant threat of “wrong” endorsement 7x24. Wait until candidate Desantis becomes the Fox News darling..... Bye Ron..

Or he might just point out who is funding DeSantis for 24... and the goals of those billionaires. I love love love what he has done for Florida... but that money comes with strings.

Trump’s already started in with how he handles presidential primary opponents with “Ron DeSanctimonious”.

"... constant threat of “wrong” endorsement 7x24..."

Oh no! Not the dreaded threat of 7x24 endorsements.

You seemed obsessed with Ryan. Here is something to ponder:

Ryan was Trump, not too long ago. The guy who came to DC with a plan to drain the entitlements swamp - send them to the states. He was the Right's superhero at the time. He was the first R to pummel Obama into a stuttering shame on national TV - health care summit. But Ryan failed in his initial very well intentioned awesome mission. Then increasingly bent principle in trade for power. Now we all hate him.

Sound familiar yet?

Ryan was not the first Ryan and Trump won't be the last Ryan.

It's a shame both Paul Ryan and Don Ryan turned out such enemies and losers. They had what should have been seen as complimentary primary plans to achieve a common goal - less illegal immigration. One wanted to do away with federal magnets of invasion - the so-called entitlements. The other just want a dang wall.

Both wanted good things. Achievement of both goals would have been incredibly beneficial to America and Americans. But Ryan had already failed and Trump loves BigGovt programs. So the swamp easily survived them both.

"Just for fun, go read this... "

Well... I read it. Though I would call it tiresome, not fun. Treehouse is a perpetual Trump-gasm site. Sundance had some good years. Had.

I'm not afraid of big money. It is reality. Just keep the donations open to the public. Campaign limits will hurt R candidates more than D, since the Left owns media, most socials and the swamps.

I don't read Sundance much anymore, but I'm guessing he is wetting himself over the thought of Musk backing Ron. Which would be fine by me.

Despite the Treehouse of pearls view, Gov Ron was also correct on the internet sales tax issue too. Another reality. It was always inevitable and is not wrong in principle. Especially to a governor whose state would otherwise lose some of it's funding. FL is wisely a sales tax state, not an income tax state.

Why the bloody heck should I care who Paul Ryan endorses? It is only scared Trump fans who bring it up. They keep saying a Ryan endorsement is some kind of poison pill, but it seems quite slow-acting.

I would back Ron 100% if Musk was his big funder and all the rest were small enough not to have pull. As I said, his history in Florida is epic. Musk was born 30 miles from where I was about the same time. I grew up while he was growing up in a similar ecosystem. I know what values were instilled by that ecosystem. Other billionaires who have been courting him are total scum bags. Musks instructions would be “Do the right thing” We in our formative years saw what bad government and an oligarchy can do to the people.

I agree Musk is a different kind of zillionaire. He has worked harder and sacrificed more for Freedom than all the politicians mentioned here.
