I am bumping this post to the top of the page and updating because, well, I’ll explain.
First, thank you. Sincere and genuine thankfulness for your fellowship. Visitors to this site continue to prove that our nation is created by, and an assembly of, the most decent, honest, generous and kind-hearted people in the world. The responses to the question of ‘why didn’t you take the covid-19 shot?’ are nothing short of remarkable.
In the bigger picture if you want to fill up your faith cup and recognize the scale of commonsense assembly in our nation, take the time to read through the 2,000+ responses.
The feedback you are providing is exceptional and trust me when I say that far more people are reading these responses than you could fathom. Additionally, the responses have reasserted my belief in the scale of our national assembly. There are far more of us, ordinary, hardworking, commonsense, pragmatic and smart people, than the self-described intellectual elites would ever admit.
In addition to the responses below, there have been hundreds of emails answering the question, which suddenly made me realize that no one has really ever asked this question before in a format that provides ordinary people with the ability to respond.
There is also a yearning to talk about this issue, publicly and with deliberation; massively so. And I am hopeful (insert grin here) this small corner of the internet is about to push this conversation into a much larger national forum. Our nation needs a big conversation about this.
If I had to pick a single phrase to encapsulate the myriad of phenomenal responses to the question I would use the phrase, “intellectual discernment”; which again provides buckets of faith that a large number of people are wide awake, albeit part of what I call a potato revolution growing safely underground.
Also, unbeknownst to front page readers I am stunned at the people in/around operation warp-speed, these are people in government directly attached to the issue, who have contacted CTH on the backside, stepped forward and said they also didn’t take the shot because, well, despite their belief in the purpose and principle at the time, things were just not adding up and ultimately seemed sketchy. They couldn’t talk (so they felt), couldn’t even hint at their concern; but when it came to making the personal decision, they waited.
I also owe it to you to answer the question of my own status, which is a big heck no – I did not take the jab.
Why? Because in the preceding years of all my research into the rapidly exposed corruption of our government, there was just no way in hell I was going to trust that same system. A system that literally was working outside the constitution and legal framework of our nation to destroy a sitting U.S. President is going to suddenly care about my health. Nope, it did not align. I also looked at the datapoint of the U.S.S. Comfort delivered to New York City under the grandest of media proclamations about impending medical doom, only to see the ship sit empty and completely unused despite the scale of the narrative that surround its purpose.
Lastly, and more obliquely, the datapoint of one of my heroes Franklin Graham assembling a NY field hospital to serve over 20,000 patients; another massive endeavor that sat empty and without use. However, prior to the hindsight, it was the in-real-time fight from officials in/around the area who tried to block Samaritans Purse from setting up the facility. If the SARS-CoV-2 issue was as great a threat as declared, then why would anyone fight to keep out a field hospital that could provide such relief. It just didn’t make sense.
Those issues, and others, formed the baseline of my inability to reconcile the key issue of ‘trust’ needed to believe in the vaccine. Additionally, I am healthy and not within any of the risk factors. However, I also feel strongly that each health decision is unique to the individual person, and everyone was making the best decisions for them based on the available information at the time; so, I carry no judgement for those who made a different choice.
As noted, I am bumping this to the top of the site so that our conversation can continue. Normally I would start a new thread, but this one is different. I don’t want to break the continuity and I want to provide everyone the ability to see they are not alone.

Reader feedback request. I was quite shocked to review a poll I took on the Twitter last month showing that 85% of the people who follow the CTH Twitter account [TLR2] did not take the COVID-19 jab.
Without any judgement implied or inferred I am genuinely curious, why not?
With the situation clearly in hindsight, and/or given all the pressure that may have been applied to each individual situation, I am genuinely curious what was it that made you choose not to take the COVID-19 vaccination.
If you are comfortable, and please understand that no pressure is intended in any way whatsoever, could you share why you didn’t take the vaccine and how do you feel about that decision in hindsight?
If you did take the vaccination, there is also no judgement in this question. As I said back in 2021 each individual is unique, each situation is unique, and each person has to make the best decision about what is in their individual best interests. So please, don’t let this issue divide our conversation.
I am genuinely curious as to the reason so many people would withstand the public and perhaps peer pressure to follow the ‘vaccination’ advice. Also, how has that decision impacted your life? Did you lose friends and family over your personal health decision? Did those relationships heal over time? Or anything else you might find pertinent to the general question.
Does anyone here take Zinc and still caught COVID? Doing a research paper on the preventative quality of zinc.
I waited to get the Johnson, Johnson... that shot was more appealing to me. Since there’s only one shot, one time.I was scheduled to get the Johnson, Johnson on a Friday. Then day or two before my scheduled appointment, a facebook friend forwarded a story/fundraiser a story published in the Newspaper re his friend late thirties who died of blood 🩸 clot in his office 2-3 hours after receiving tge shot. So cancelled I my appointnent mine to further investigate and did not look back.

Me neither. At first, I just thought they had a “vax” made too fast. My red flags really went up when they started mandating things and trying to force them. My husband signed up with the health department when they became available for his age group. He’s 20 years older than me so his was available before mine would have been. He kept asking me if I was going to take it and I kept saying no. After I explained why, he told them he didn’t want it when they called. Good move but I wasn’t going to try to force him not to take it. He’s his own person. I’m glad he wised up though.
I’m with Dan Bongino on this: It was the biggest mistake of my life.
I only took it b/c I wasn’t allowed to see my family - they were vax crazed.
Now my sister-in-law is in a walker and wheelchair after the last vax, she crashed her car on the way home after taking the vax over a year ago and has not been able to recover.
Came out of the hospital with myocarditis and didn't get the high sign from my cardiologist and pulmonologist to get the jab until July of that year.
By that time I had read enough and was skeptical enough to know that any shot was not gonna protect me and if anything, exacerbate the myocarditis that I came out of the hospital with. I since got it two more times which amounted to me sleeping it off over a couple of days.
I have a few customers who still require proof of vaccination in order to be in their buildings so I just do those meetings over video but I expect them to rescind those policies before the summer.
I was determined to not let this dominate my life and life choices, I guess you can call that liberty.
At some point, likely years from now, they will, like H1N1, come out with some revisited statistics. Sad that with what is likely known today, compared to other vaccines, how many have died and through government-induced hysteria, people put up with it.

Anytime the government says “This is good for me”, I do the opposite.
Plus this SCARY virus is 99% survivable and why would I takes something that cannot prevent you from getting it or spreading it?
True. I have no doubt that bio-weapons and more severe pandemics are on the horizon, and that enemies and governments alike will use them to destroy and control people. Covid was the test-run.
When I was a teenager, my father told me about the “FUD” acronym- Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. Always question anyone, anytime, under any circumstances selling you a product or idea that requires them to create fear, doubt, or uncertainty in your mind.
It’s real damned east for me: if the government says I should do something, eat something, think something, etc I automatically assume the opposite is likely the best course of action

I’m a contrarian. That’s why.
Since I knew COVID was a SCAM! Why would I take a vaxxine developed at WARP SPEED for a flu that was being blamed for all kinds of deaths/illnesses up to and including motorcycle accidents.
Deaths from annual flu DISAPPEARED! Deaths from pneumonia DISAPPEARED! Hmmmmm, were they all being counted as COVID deaths? YES!
Since I was “high risk” old, fat, type 2 diabetes, I should have run for the jab as soon as it came out, right? WRONG!
Except my wife and I had COVID in January of 2020. Mild cases I guess. No hospital, no doctor visits. We suffered through it like we had a common cold, although the symptoms were not common.
We were already taking nutritional supplements so I read about what was effective against COVID and added those. Quercetin, upped my D3 & C, zinc.
Later on I procured Ivermectin from India (no prescription).
Most everything I was able to find out started from right here at freerepublic.com. Articles/posts by y’all sent me to places where I garnered voluminous information about everything COVID related.

I’ll admit to not reading all of those. But the ones I did read generally paralleled what we are saying here on FR.
I am a proud pureblood. No vaccine, no boosters. Plenty of third party helpers in my fight against the infection. President Trump first clued me in when he early on recommended IVM and HCQ. When the powers that be came down hard against these wonder drugs, I got a supply of both from India and haven’t looked back.
Given the government’s over the top drive to get everyone vaccinated and the “bad news” articles that began appearing early on, I became convinced the vaccine and boosters were designed to cause harm. Thus my tag line which see.

A credible vaccine is not formulated in less than a year so I resisted the urging of family, work and health care folks to get vaxxed. My doctor, who was very angry that I wouldn’t get the vax back in 2021, told me in my recent appointment that I was probably right to not get the jab. Luckily, my work accepted my exemption request so I wasn’t affected job-wise but I did have to put up with a shunning of family and friends for a year and a half.
I had a confirmed case of Covid before there was a shot available.
Basics of immunity say catching the disease (assuming you recover) always offers superior protection over a vaccine. Large studies confirmed this. And yet they kept pushing the shot. Ignoring studies. Ignoring actual science.
Then all the wrong people who call evil good and good evil kept pushing, forcing, demanding the shot, so I knew something was up.

Lol. I was just thinking about something my Dad used to say to me when I was growing up. When I wanted to do something because my friends were doing it he’d say “If they all wanted to jump off a cliff, would you want to”?
Sure. We can start with this, for now.
TRUMP: …the vaccine isn’t doing well. They’re not getting. Now, you know, we came up with a vaccine that was done with my administration. And frankly, me, the FDA is not in love with me because I pushed them at a level that they’ve never been pushed.
But we got a vaccine in nine months. Laura, and it was supposed to take five years. Fauci said it’s probably never going to happen. Fauci was saying three years, four years, five years. A lot of people said twelve years and I got it done in nine months. And it’s you know, it’s really a great accomplishment out of it.
My employer (a community college district in California) started harrassing the staff immediately about getting the experimental injections - or, we had to “explain ourselves” if we wanted to get a waiver from the shots.
I told them I would sue if they fired me for not taking it. Finally, I did get a waiver - because I refused to back down. They are still pushing shots & masking....
ALl of them need to be sued for all of the side-effects/damages we are now seeing.
