Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

2022: The Year Trump Was Vindicated as EU Green Agenda Went Up in Smoke
In December, Breitbart London reported that imports of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) from Russia actually increased by 21 per cent to the EU and UK compared to before the February invasion. This meant that the EU and UK paid Moscow nearly 27 billion euros ($28.4/£23.5 billion) for LNG.

“lots of talk about the M2 bradley, and how it MAY be going to the ukraine.. lets clear some things up shall we.

if the bradley goes, its not going alone. spare parts and support equipment will be coming along too.. TONS of it. so no problem. the bradley going would probably be the M2A2 ODS. thats a bradley that has been upgraded at least 3 times since the last time it faced the USSR

the armor is now thicker, the fire control better, the gun is better, the TOWs are improved, the sights are better.. all improved.. what can we say about the museum exhibits that MOST of the russian vehicles that are out there? well there are fewer of them. thats about all

the M242 was able to go right threw T72s in both gulf wars. the AP ammo is devastating to the soviet era cast tanks. trust me we were shocked too (brad crews). infantry would try to hide behind wrecks of tanks. it never worked. a long burst would get them

the thermal sights on the bradley are great and can be used in the recon mode, and the 25mm can (and has been) used in the anti sniper mode. brads are scarry fast. i can say that on a hill i have hit over 60mph.. and yes i was wearing the brown camo pants.

the TOW, they already have it and have used it in combat. it works and NOTHING can survive a hit from it. out of the 15+ i have fired.. only 1 miss due to a malfunction. enough said.

some will try to say “its too complicated for ukr”.. BS. if 18yo US kids can keep it running so can combat hardened smart ukr mechanics. everything is plug and play. and it comes with a computer that will tell you what is broken.

normally if you have a issue with the hull its the VDB, and you just change it out. in the turret its the TDB, or the computer.. both easy to change.. and quick. other than that the motor (PAC) or the sight go out.. all simple and easy to pull and swap.

Somehow being totally dependent on your enemy’s energy supply does NOT feel like winning. It feels bad man.

Sirens sounded for a second consecutive day as Russia tries to break Ukraine’s holiday spirit with long-range missile attacks.

Excerpts:
A large number of Ukrainian prisoners of war returned home on New Year’s Eve as part of the latest prisoner exchange with Russian forces. Among the 140 POWs were wounded, those who fought in Mariupol, on Snake Island, and other locales.

We have new imagery of two Western-supplied weapon systems not previously seen in Ukrainian service, the Canadian Armored Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV).
Canada pledged 39 ACSVs for Ukraine in June, the wheeled armored personnel carriers the fourth generation of General Dynamics’ venerable Light Armored Vehicle family.

On the far end of the technology spectrum, Czech fundraisers have reportedly met their goal to supply Ukraine with 15 Viktor anti-aircraft guns. These modernized ZPU-2 14.5mm dual heavy machine guns are mounted on Toyota Land Cruiser 79 chassis.

Used as either direct fire to support infantry or as SHORAD against Russian drones, the Viktor can put a lot of rounds toward the target in not a lot of time.
Wagner Group reported to be using T-72B3M and T-90M tanks in Bakhmut region.

UA’s T-64BM tanks appear to be able to survive top-down attacks wit their new ‘Nizh’ explosive reactive armor.

••Day 311.

Today in the morning, British Intelligence issued a warning that the Russians will likely break their usual pattern of strikes in an effort to undermine the morale of the Ukrainian population over the new year holiday period, and as it turned out, they were totally right. Around 3 hours later, the sirens went off across the whole of Ukraine because the Russians, indeed, had launched their missiles.

This time the Russians primarily launched Caliber rockets from the warships in the Black Sea, and they also tapped into their stock in Astrakhan, near the Caspian Sea. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Russians carried out a total of about 20 rocket launches. However, looking at the videos of launches and traces, one can count more than 20 rockets, and this is where it gets interesting once again.

The reason why only 20 rockets entered the territory of Ukraine is simple - Russian air defense seems to have shot down several rockets once again. Today, shortly after the rockets were launched from Astrakhan, the footage was released of how one rocket fell in the Volgograd region. The footage captured only burning grey fragments of the rockets.

Given that no explosions were reported and that there is no shall crater on the ground, it means that the rocket was intercepted by Russian air defense and its remnants just fell on the ground without explosion.

A similar situation seems to have happened in Crimea. Here, the footage also captures how Russian air defense starts intercepting some objects. Some sources claim that Russian air defense is actually intercepting Ukrainian drones.

There is a theory that the Ukrainians are launching their massive drone attacks simultaneously with Russian strikes in order to confuse the air defense system. However, even though at first glance it seems like a smart move, there are a lot of problems associated with the implementation of this plan.

Firstly, the Ukrainians need to know exactly from which base the Russians decided to launch their rockets this time. As you might have noticed, there is some sort of rotation process between the launch places, and they use a different combination of places each time.

Secondly, the drones are much slower, so in order to the time it perfectly, the Ukrainian would need to know not only the exact place but also the exact time for which the launch has been planned.

Thirdly, the operational altitude and speed differences are still large enough to tell the difference between the missiles and drones.

Lastly, when the Ukrainians hit Crimea with drones, there was usually footage featuring them, which is quite easy to tell because they are loud.

So, for these reasons, I am inclined to think that there was no simultaneous massive Ukrainian drone attack, and the Russians just have some internal problems with their air defense system. In the meantime, some Ukrainian officials are also teasing the Russians with predictions that Moscow will spend the New Year in the dark.

After the Ukrainians struck the Russian strategic airfield in the deep Russian rear two times, the Kremlin decided to take no chances. The Russians are reportedly boosting their air defense around Moscow and have already deployed around 2 thousand people just to monitor the sky during the New Year. The Russians have several circles of air defense around Moscow, which they recently reinforced even more.

First of all, such a high level of alertness might partially explain why the Russians are shooting down everything moving in the sky, including their own rockets.

But apart from that, such a high concentration of air defense around Moscow inevitably means that Russian air defense has been compromised somewhere else. The paranoia over the security of Moscow may open the door for a lot of other opportunities for the Ukrainians, so we will see whether these opportunities will be identified and exploited.

Perhaps you or somebody can explain why the authors of the ‘Documenting Russian Equipment Losses” series don’t also document Ukraine losses.

"Is English your second language?"

Are you trying the leftist trick of trying to discredit my effective mockery of our resident neocon clowns by insinuating that I am a foreigner? I have been on this forum longer than you and I have been called all sorts of names by leftists. Your next trick will be to call me anignorant hillbilly or some other label mocking Americans outside the Acela corridor. I have roots in this country going back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630.

Lack of ammo? Ukraine lost 70% of its soldiers who were fighting in Bakmut. You post nothing but propaganda on here.

I would respectfully disagree. The Swedish Archer Artillery (Wheeled) System is being sent to UKR.

Below is a picture of the RCH-155 self-propelled gun:

While the RCH-155 self-propelled gun would probably be restricted to paved roads (or possibly dry dirt roads), they would be much quicker to shoot & scoot than towed artillery.

They document Ukrainian losses.

RuZZian losses: https://www.oryxspioenkop.com/2022/02/attack-on-europe-documenting-equipment.html

Ukrainian losses: https://www.oryxspioenkop.com/2022/02/attack-on-europe-documenting-ukrainian.html

They used to be in the same file but got split up because of the volume of RuZZian losses.
