As countries all around the world are seeing soaring rates of heart attacks and sudden deaths in the past two years, “experts” are now claiming that artificial sweeteners are to blame.
A new study claims that artificial sweeteners may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and “should not be considered a healthy and safe replacement to sugar.”
The study, which was published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), analyzed information on more than 100,000 people in France.
“103,388 participants of the web-based NutriNet-Santé cohort,” the study stated.
“Dietary intakes and consumption of artificial sweeteners were assessed by repeated 24 h dietary records, including brand names of industrial products.”
The study concluded, “the findings from this large scale prospective cohort study suggest a potential direct association between higher artificial sweetener consumption (especially aspartame, acesulfame potassium, and sucralose) and increased cardiovascular disease risk.

This has to be a joke right?
“There is no doubt these things aren’t good for you.. but these have been around for decades, nothing has significantly changed in the last 2 years around them...”
They are good for diabetics by giving them sweetener options where they had none before. People have been using these products for years and aren’t suddenly dropping over dead. This is a bunch of baloney, which is probably also allegedly bad for you. You live, you die. Life’s a crap shoot.
IIRC, a decade or so after saccharin was banned, studies revealed that one would have to consume 800 cans of soda per DAY for it to cause the kind of cancer it was supposedly responsible for.
Nope. If you scroll to the end of the article, the Slay writers give several other examples of other attempts to explain sudden deaths with dubious ‘science.’
Could be carrots. Rush often mentioned the connection between carrots and other deaths. ;)
Tab and Fresca drinkers everywhere breathed a sigh of relief...
Don’t the Chinese make most food ‘additives’ in the world - - including artificial sweeteners, vitamins, medicines, and all the small stuff on the bottom of box ‘ingredients’ lists?
Arugula... if Obama promoted it, it is suspect...
I'm a dead man walking.
There’s something else likely equally as dangerous ... the great Rush Limbaugh knew & talked about it: “Everyone who eats carrots, dies.”
suggest a potential direct association
In other words: WE ARE JUST GUESSING
PING
Yeah. They make me so sweet I can’t stand to be around myself.
The fact that these sweeteners are ubiquitous is part of it. It’s almost like blaming oxygen... they hope no one will apply critical thinking in the way they obviously haven’t.
Yes. I grew up in a youth culture that branded everything ‘chemical’ as ‘uncool’ so that isn’t surprising. We were too smart to know the entire universe was ‘chemical.’
Yep....another Anything But the Jab™ excuse for their Died Suddenly™
😩
Yes this study is garbage, they aren’t causing more deaths.
However, there is no doubt these things are not good. They are endocrine disruptors, and if you have diabetes already, your endocrine system is already NOT working like it should.. So while it will help you avoid sugars and help with blood sugar levels, they really aren’t healthy at all, for anyone.
Looks like the American Heart Association is learning a few things from Fauci’s money grab for the entire funding of health associations. If he can hog all the money for allergies and infectious diseases, then as heart people, they can claim everything causes heart disease.
These “health” associations are increasingly alarmed at the increasing usage of artificial sweeteners instead of the reliable regular sugars that cause all the major diseases, and need to get everybody back onto consuming more “healthy” regular sugars in unlimited quantities — as they have no relation to obesity, diabetes or any other health problems.
Eat sugar and make your health care associations happy again. Sugar — the “natural” alternative.
If it’s made by Pfizer I’ll buy it.
Thank you. I was formulating a post, and thought I should read the thread first.
You said it.
