As the title suggests, something's been bothering me about the photo of "classified documents" released by the DOJ in their response filing for the special master request by Trump's legal team.
The cover sheets are all wrong.
I've had access to Top Secret/SCI material for over 40 years, working with it on a daily basis. I have never seen cover sheets with a solid color border that say "SECRET/SCI" or "TOP SECRET/SCI." Those would be OK if they were just SECRET or TOP SECRET collateral information (not sensitive compartmented information - SCI). The cover sheets for SCI documents have striped borders in the respective colors, and have the compartment listed on the cover sheet - not just "SCI."
The reason for this distinction is that the two categories need to be clearly distinguishable. Those look like regular (collateral) classified coversheets. If the "SECRET/SCI" cover sheets shown in the photo actually were used, they could easily be inadvertently mixed with the collateral coversheets, because they look so much alike.
SCI cover sheets need to be readily identifiable, so they are handled in their appropriate compartment, and not intermingled with collateral classified information.
Those look like standard coversheets with the "SCI" moniker added by someone who doesn't know the difference, or the importance of the difference - either on NARA's side, the DOJ/FBI side, or the TRUMP side.
Someone help me out on this - I could be wrong, but I'm losing sleep, and just don't get it. Nothing else in the photo indicates classification, so the photo is not probative, and certainly not prejudicial as I see it.
At least We the People can be certain our government people (elected and unelected) never lie unless it to protect the elected and unelected from harm. The best idea is to never trust We the People …… Right ?
The photo was a stupidly staged propaganda/publicity stunt.
Start there and it all makes sense.
Because:
1) We don’t want the bad guys to know what our stuff can do.
2) We don’t want the bad guys to know that we know what their stuff can do or what they’re planning to do with it.
3) We don’t want the bad guys to know how we found out what their stuff can do and what they’re planning to do with it..
4) We don’t want the bad guys to know what we’re planning to do about their stuff and their plans.
Trained eyes see that kind of stuff. You should contact the Trump team.

They had to have those ‘covers’ pre-printed.
They knew what documents were there, since the archives people had inventoried them in the Spring, and had left them there, locked in that store room.
They were the ‘false flag’ to get the warrant to invade Trump’s home and seize whatever ELSE they could and get away with it.
They knew the docs were kept in a particular spot, not anybody’s closet.
That was just a ruse.
They wanted anything and everything they could possibly get their hands on to look for incriminating evidence of some kind of crime.
They took ‘souvenirs’ for their own personal gratification, as ‘bragging rights’ to others:
“SEE WHAT I SCORED AT TRUMPS’S PLACE IN MELANIA’S CLOSET!”........................
I think you’re barking up the wrong tree. They weren’t looking for evidence of any Trump crimes, they were there to plant evidence of Trump crimes, and look for any evidence Trump had of THEIR crimes. They’re all getting nervous that once the Democrats lose their control of congress, and the rats start fleeing the swamp, Trump’s going to drop the evidence on them.
