White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday repeatedly refused to answer questions about the unprecedented raid on Trump’s Florida residence.
More than 3 dozen federal agents descended on Mar-a-Lago Monday, rifled through offices and breached a safe.
KJP absurdly claimed that Joe Biden was not aware of the FBI raid.
Biden learned about the raid from news reports, Karine Jean-Pierre told White House reporters on Tuesday.
ABC’s Mary Bruce said, “You’re underscoring the independence of the Justice Department, but…are you concerned about how it looks for [them] to be investigating…the former President, who may very well be the current President’s rival in 2024.”
Karine Jean-Pierre responded, “We’re not gonna comment…”
She continued, “Look, the White House learned about this FBI search from public reports. We learned just like the American public did yesterday and we did not have advance notice of this activity.”
“[Biden] believes in the rule of law,” she added.
